As mentioned, this is only emailed to those you select and doesn't appear in the message archive. The special guest could see it in Activity, but not every moderator or owner visits activity

if you are a moderator/owner and your group allows No Mail. You could temporarily change their delivery option and then change it back once the special email has been delivered to everyone else. Bill
