Re: Message Recall Failure: Recall
Dear Frances, One person used "message recall" at her end, and then these error messages started being automatically generated in response. The accounts they come from are real people, but they

Re: Message Recall Failure: Recall
I believe that's a feature of Outlook.? MS may have made a recent change since there have been a few complaints about these messages lately.? Those messages are NOT supposed to be sent to anyone not

Re: Message Recall Failure: Recall
If they're all coming through as new topics then I suggest you ensure your group is set to moderate all messages: This will give you some breathing space and hold those messages in the Pending queue

Re: Message Recall Failure: Recall
I don't see anything about "message recall" in Groups.io itself. You say that several member accounts are trying to do message recalls in your group. Are they all real separate people? Could you put

Re: Display Name: moderator cannot edit? #displayname #display-name
Not directly, only by changing it in the main group.? This sequence was initiated 7 or 8 years ago, so there are probably few groups where there might be a different Display Name in a subgroup. Duane

Re: Display Name: moderator cannot edit? #displayname #display-name
Have you tried asking your subgroup members to edit their subgroup profile and reset it? Resetting a (sub)group profile causes any changes at that level? to be lost and details are then refreshed

Re: Display Name: moderator cannot edit? #displayname #display-name
Hi Duane, I just tested it in a group where I¡®m moderator and which has subgroups. It seems to be one of the type where the display name in the subgroups is automatically made identical to the name

Re: Freezing a Topic but Allowing Reply To Sender
Ken, By "/reviewing the initial message"/ do you mean you moderate all messages in your groups before posting, or do you mean after it has posted and you notice it? Cheers, Christos

Things can be changed after the fact by editing Topic Properties, but this does not affect header lines in the original post, which has already gone out as emails. Too little, too late. What I've done
