The system is set up so that there must be at least one owner of a group, so there's an email address/account that is owner of those groups, but it's not yours.? I think your best hope is to contact

Yes, if she's not a member of the group, she won't see some of the group information.? If your group archives are public, she can read them, but not reply.? I think making her a member of the group

The owner has set up the group for announcements from owners and moderators only. If you are owner, you can change that. Go to Admin, Settings, Spam Control. Change to restricted if you wish to
