Deborah -- It's entirely possible that you did everything right. Yahoo's invitation system is just one of many things that have become increasingly unreliable. I've been there, and understand that this is stressful, probably even more so under the circumstances. Once you get the process completed you will not only breathe easier, but delight in working with a platform that -- for the most part -- will work the way you expect it to. As the banner above states, the Yahoo group invitation should have been sent to [email protected]. If you put in some other email address during the invitation process, that's why the transfer agent hasn't received it yet. At this time you need to return to your Yahoo group and send another invitation. ?
Thank you, Bruce. I'm almost positive I invited [email protected] yesterday, but I just did it again, and YG confirmed the invitation was sent successfully.

Earlier today, I invited a friend, just to test the invite process. She got it right away, and when she followed the link, clicked on the purple 'Join this Group' button and then entered the necessary info, I got the YG? new member notification email. So, I'll just sit tight and wait for i.o to respond. Once I see their status banner acknowledge receipt of the invite I'll be able to relax a bit.

Put in the new address.? Using Preview may distort your image. However it may not matter. I just tried with a photo with a group of people and that DOESN'T work well if you try to force it to 900 x 300. Keeping the Scale Proportionally box ticked worked better. ?I got a better photo but not a real banner photo. It is workable though.? When I got the email from I/O , they said they may not be able to transfer all of it - it seems like yahoo is acting up (I can believe that).? It is the important history and technical information in the emails that I am so desperately trying to save. Advice appreciated. jack |
Moving to IOGroups
In order to move my list of 10,000+ members to io groups, the only way possible is to pay $110, right?? 65 people have joined on their own but my concern is for the many people that read messages on the site that still don't know what is about to happen with YGroups shutting down the online portion. I have had the list since 2006 so I don't want to just wait and see what happens. Thank you, Susan |

Ted, I believe you are asking where are the forwarding emails sent.
The Group Owner email address goes to you, if you are group owner. See?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Owner-emails Unsubscribe is system. You don't do anything as owner. View a summary of your data
The "Your Products" section of the Privacy Dashboard shows products associated with your account or device. Products and services you haven't used won't be listed.

Click any item to view a summary of your data linked to that product. If you'd like to see all of your associated data, instead of a summary, use the "Download" option (instructions below).

Edit your info associated with a product
Download your data
Request a download of your data
You can request a download for data associated with one or more specific products or all products at once. It can take up to 30 days for the request to finish processing and the download to become available. You'll be notified by email when the download is ready. Once a download is requested for a product (or all products), another download request cannot be made for that product until the original request is done or canceled.

Go down to "Download a summary of your data" and click Request a download.
Select some or all product data to include in your download.
Click Next.
Enter an email address you'd like to be notified at when the download is ready.

I found simple instructions on this page - if you are using a Mac and don't have special image software. I used the technique using Preview. Saved the photo on my computer and then uploaded it. Payment options for the Yearly Premium Plan
Hi,
I'm trying to move a Yahoo group over to Groups.io. It's pretty expensive for a yearly plan, but I have a group going way back to 2004 that needs saving.? Problem is, I'm located in India, and we have members worldwide, not just in the US. I tried with my Global Card, but it was declined. I've had success paying using my card via paypal to companies in the US, so I'm wondering if its possible to pay through that? Do I not have any other options to pay? I feel stuck over here.? Thanks.? |
