It would be great if you could block the domain. Is it worth posting as a suggestion on Beta? You can already ban an email address so perhaps it could be expanded to domain.?
Possible? Frances -- /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki /static/help More help: use the search button at the top of the Messages list. |

To clarify: my group is (somewhat) restricted. To be able to post you have to be a member, hence I have to deal with fake member requests from @qq addresses. Those @qq addresses also try to directly post to the group. Obviously they don't succeed, but their failed attempts flood the Activity log that I use as owner.

Ilene,Your wording is somewhat confusing.? Is the email sent directly from the personal email you mention? or is it sent from that personal email, through to your group at groups.io and from groups.io to this person? If it is the first case, direct from your personal email, it is far more likely to be blocked by her service AND you may be Blacklisted as a result. You might try sending her a duplicate of it via her Subscription where you can send her an email as an owner and cc yourself since you seem to indicate that groups.io email is getting through to her. Since everyone else receives it, the problem is with 1) her settings, 2) her email service, or 3) it's going into the spam folder.? As the owner, you can verify her settings.? If that's not the problem, there's something going on with her service.? That could be that her email provider is blocking it as spam.
It is a?rather large email 422KB in size?and she is the only one who is having problems?getting it.
?
I believe she?also said she can't even grab it from the group's message page.

So a group that I moderate is receiving a lot of @qq spam. Not only are there frequent requests for memberships from @qq addresses that I have to turn down, the Activity log is also becoming useless as it is clogged up with @qq activity. Do other moderators have a similar problem and is there a way to deal with this?

These establish a symbolic link on the server to forward someone to the actual group. They also have the benefit of holding an alternative group name so someone else doesn't take it. Once you pay for the upgrade, an Aliases tab will show up under the Admin menu. For my group ias-indy, I have set up aliases of "ias" and "indianaastronomicalsociety." If I post a message to [email protected],?it shows up in my ias-indy group. Similarly, if someone browses to /g/ias?, they are redirected to our home page. Re: Exporting details of who voted in a poll
Beth,
Near as I can tell, poll results (who responded) are not in the group data export archives section (mbox file).? Only the initial poll message. So this would be a good idea to post on the beta forum for a new feature to download the responses in csv/xls format. Toby |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýScotty,You appear to be correct.? The Wiki info is rubbish in this case.? This is how to do it: 1. Select "Account" from the top right after logging in. 2. Select "Login" from the column on the left. 3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says "Advanced Settings For Email Aliases" and click the right arrow at the far right of that line. 4. Enter the e-mail alias in the space below the text, then click the blue "Add Email Alias" button right below it. Mark On 10/26/2018 10:48 AM, Scott Myers
