Re: Transferring Lists
We transferred roughly 3000 members and over 150000 messages from Yahoo to groups.io in about 2 days. If you generate messages on the group.io site before you have completed the transfer they receive messages numbers based on the next available message number at that moment and may end up interwoven within your Yahoo messages as duplicate numbers. |
Re: Posting a photo
Brenda, if you are replying to a message, you can click on the image icon on the left side of the paper clip icon in the tool bar above the window where you write your reply.? I'd have to test it to see if the same tools are available on a brand new message window.? I've inserted a picture of my cat, Jack.? Do you see him? Donna |

Okay, I don't have one of those, do you think it's because I'm in plain text? Do I need to be in HTML to do this? Thanks, Brenda |

You have to send the transfer address an email giving the green light for the transfer.

Transferring Lists
How long does it take to transfer a list. I subscribed the transfer address to my old list and set up a new one here, but have heard nothing more. That was 2? days ago.

Brenda, you say "directly". Do you mean not as an attachment? Frances |
Re: Having to only approve members but not approved members messages having some issues
Joseph,
And we had decided that we wanted to screen members that are coming intoSimple. As J has mentioned both controls are in the group's Settings page, under the Admin drop-down in the left hand column. In the first section (General) leave empty (or uncheck) the box next to Moderated. This establishes a group policy which allows members to post freely, except those members who may have a moderation override set in their subscription. Ask if you have questions about new-member moderation or other aspects of the individual member subscription controls. Also in the first section, just below Moderated, put a checkmark on Restricted. That will cause memberships to be held in the Pending list until you approved them. I tried explaining to Mark what I wanted, but he has not gotten back to me.He's trying to stay focused on bug fixes and feature development, so he prefers to let us users help each other out where practical. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOkay Jay, now I have that fixed. What I want to do now, is make it to where they apply for membership instead of the join I went and checked don't one box that I'm able to see as an owner as far as moderating goes. I seen nothing about approving applications. Maybe I'll just wait and see if Mark replies.Joseph Hudson group owner for iPad help for the blind Email I device support Telephone 2543007667 Skype joseph.hudson89 facebook Twitter ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOkay I got that fixed. Now it's just a matter of figuring out how to get the postings on moderate it once they have become members. Hopefully this will fix my problems. Because what he did is emitted to complete moderate a group and that's not what I wanted.Joseph Hudson group owner for iPad help for the blind Email I device support Telephone 2543007667 Skype joseph.hudson89 facebook Twitter ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJay, that's not what I'm morning. Right now the way my group is acting as my members are to joined instead of applying for membership. So therefore, I don't end up approving them. They just end up sending me a notification that they have joined. I'm not wanting to fill out the questionnaire. I'm wanting to know, where I need to go in order to change my group settings in order to reflect this change.Joseph Hudson group owner for iPad help for the blind Email I device support Telephone 2543007667 Skype joseph.hudson89 facebook Twitter ? p.s. Also in your Settings, you have to check the box that says "Restricted." That makes people "apply for membership" rather than just "join," and allows the pending member notice to be sent. Then you can approve the pending subscription or not. J |
