I am not sure about within groups.io (as in, don't know if there are any settings or whatnot) however, depending on what the individuals are using for email providers, they might be able to block them

No need for alarm, your members are not gone. Wicca is right. See the button at the top that says "Pending Approval?" Click that off and your other 161 members will reappear. As Duane said, he didn't

If you view the homepage for your twsactives group at /g/twsactives you will see it says there are 161 members.? I suspect you are looking at a different group if you are only seeing
