Problems with Windows 11

Has anyone had problems with the groups.io links with Windows 11.? Anytime I select any link to groups.io I get directed to the Microsoft Edge Home Page.? Chatted with Microsoft and they said it was a problem with Windows 11, but there was no fix.

Happening for anyone else?? Any potential fixes?

Thanks.? Pat

Re: changing table ownership

Thanks, Frances. I tried that and it works - except that the Updated column for each row is changed to the day/time I did the import. That's a problem since that information is important to us. I supposed we could add a time column and a date column but they would have to be manually updated whenever there's a change.

Well, this works. First, make sure that members can create tables (in Settings) and as previously noted, you can lock down the settings for each individual table. (Members must be able to view the table.)

Then the member can export the table in JSON. And import it in JSON.

I tried it and it works. My member (non-moderator) cannot edit the other databases but can edit this new one as table owner. You can also do the export yourself and send him the file for importing. But probably cleaner if the member does it all.

BTW, I didn't delete the table from Databases. I would only do it after it is safely transferred ownership and appears in Databases properly.

changing table ownership

Short of making the new manager a moderator, is there a clever way to transfer the ownership to another member?
?
I'm going to make a request to beta for a way to change a table owner but in the meantime I'm looking for a workaround.

If you really completed an address change on your existing account, posts wouldn't be going to the old address anymore.

/helpcenter/membersmanual/1/understanding-groups-io-accounts/setting-account-preferences-and-viewing-account-information?

So you either didn't complete the process, or may have done something else.

-- A confirmation email should have been sent to the destination (Yahoo) address. Did you respond to it??
-- Did your Yahoo email address already have an account before you started this process? If so, you may have merged the accounts instead of simply changing email addresses.

At this point I suggest you try to log in under the old address and see if you can still access your Owner functions. It would be unwise to recommend a course of action until we know where you currently are.

You can't specify which members of a group would get the poll email, so I think the answer you're looking for is no.

I am puzzled. Did you change your email address in the top right corner - Account?

And if you are visiting your group home page, I would be wary of auto-fill after the change. Just check!

Can you please clarify? Is the Pacific NW chapter an actual subgroup in Groups.io?

While I have not polled a Groups.io subgroup, I see New Poll in the menu in my subgroup, so I think the answer is yes, you can poll all members in a subgroup.?

Here's about polling:

Well, kinda. It's not particularly intuitive, but is clearly mentioned in the docs.?/helpcenter/ownersmanual/1/managing-group-topics-and-messages/splitting-topics?

Fixing this has been on the "to do" list for some time, but somehow never seems to get priority.??

Nope, I can't (maybe because my
group is 2019's Basic, I don't know).

I already tried that, but Groups.io
doesn't allow me to edit the subject
of a single message, only the whole
topic altogether.

That's why I'm asking how to do it
(split subjects).

Good point. The Help mentions this.
I don't tend to clean up these messages until the flurry of emails dies down.?

However, I can see doing it, setting the two threads to moderate, and sending a message on each thread to alert members who wish to continue the conversation on these topics.
