Re: Hashtag drop down list for members
Yes, members can still see them, but they will not be able to start topics with them (or reply to topics with them if you have Replies by Mods Only checked also). Andy

Re: Option not to receive one's own messages?
Nina, That checkbox does NOT control whether or not Groups.io sends back to you messages that you posted. Rather, it does exactly one thing: when checked it causes Groups.io to replace the Message-ID

Re: Hashtag drop down list for members
Thanks Chris. This is very good to know, especially for such hashtags as #poll/#file/#chat-notice. In particular, if you were to set #poll-notice to both "use by Mods only" and "replies by Mods only,"

Thank you.? I think I'll set them all to "Use by Mods Only" and keep an eye on them in case there are exceptions.? Many of them I had already set as moderated, so I could catch them, but this will

Hashtag drop down list for members
In an effort to reduce the number of hashtags in the drop down list, and somewhat restrict usage by members, I've set some of them to "Use by Mods Only".? So far, it looks like this will accomplish

What happens to the group when no other member wants to take over the group? I have found in maybe 15 years of ownership of my group that I inherited, finding someone to just help in being a moderator

Correct, although it may apply to other providers as well. I have this box unchecked in my account preferences and I still receive my own messages to groups. Bruce Check out the groups.io Help Center
