Need a little help with Database
I finally found out how to print from the Database (click on Export Table and choose CSV).? But one person has a lot of info in one of the fields so when it transfers to Excel, that line runs on and on but never gets to the end.? I have that column set to paragraph in groups.io.? I thought maybe by making a hard return (Shift+Enter) it would split it and make one part under another which it does in groups.io.? But when I export it to Excel, anything after that hard return does not appear anywhere.
What is the magic way to make the info appear as two separate lines in Excel from groups.io? Sincerely, Rli@... |

Re: messages marked as spam
I've seen a few members in groups that got hit with the 'masks' messages.
Their local tagged the mask message spam, which it was, but that fed back to groups and dropped the member. Thankfully it was only a few, it could have been many. -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team www.jmri.org www.fingerlakeslivesteamers.org www.cnymod.org www.syracusemodelrr.org |
Re: Can't find the SPLIT TOPIC - Not on the MORE menu
Bruce, et. al.,
Found out the post I want to split into a NEW topic has image attachments.? There is no SPLIT TOPIC menu option for this posting.? It's the last post in the message thread as #44.? Other messages in the same message thread without images show the SPLIT TOPIC menu function.? Thus, is this a bug or there is no ability to SPLIT TOPICS of a posted message with image attachments? Puzzling indeed. BMaverick |

They are probably *not* marking them as spam Their emailer is putting groups.io messages in their spam folder and after a period (usually 30 days) they are automatically deleted It is that which triggers the marked as spam Just post a warning to that effect in your group and tell them to check their spam folders in web mail and mark any groups.io posts as not spam They need to check periodically but at least once a month if not more Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 07/05/2020 22:47, Harlan Steinle wrote:

Yeah, that's it a "mask message"? so it was already gone.? Come to think, the first message was too generic, didn't even mention the group's actual content other than using the word "content".??
Thanks!??

If so, note what Mark (groups.io owner) said in his post?. My guess is that Mark acted on spammer reports in other groups and deleted the guy's account before you got around to investigating. That's why you never saw him in your member list...he "disappeared" from the GMF member list in the same manner. Regards, Bruce Check out the new groups.io Help Center?and?groups.io Owners Manual |

I am a tutorial writer that writes tutorials for people to follow to create stationary to be used in e-mails using PSP. Either using through Incredimail or outlook or any e-mail program that they can put the creations together in to share through their groups. And the main group that those tutorials are shared at? and not sure how they got the address unless if it was because I replied on something they created using one of my tutorials. But never figured or expected anyone to send me an invite to a group they own or run to share stuff as they specify on their groups page.

Email address not showing up properly in message text

Lauren Bienkowski
Hi All,? I posted to our group recently, referring to an email address that they could write to, but the email address was blocked out on the main page.? It shows up when the email came to my inbox but not when I open the message in this platform.? Is there a way to edit this so that full email addresses (including the bits after the @ sign) can show up?? Cheers, Lauren

I tried the help section one more time and still it's a no go via step-by-step.
Also at the bottom of the help page, it shows a TIP to put the message thread in Moderation.? I tried that too, then checked the MORE.? Still no SPLIT TOPIC option to select. |
