Re: Group messages
So, you transferred all your messages into the main group, right? I guess I am not sure what you need. I think you have some posts or documents that you don't want altered. You don't want everyone to

Be sure to spend a little time now tweaking your set up. Here's an overview: /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Quick-Start-for-Group-Formation Lots more info here if you decide to use

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
Thanks for your reply Gerald. I figured that I would get "it depends" as an answer because I asked for a wide range of experiences. However, it is nice that the answer "it depends" is followed by a

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
Ken, As you will likely see, the answer is, "It depends". I can offer my opinion based on my experience. I "administer" a small Ham Radio group. By that, I mean that I have "Owner" status. It took

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
I'm the owner of a small, unmoderated and very civil group.? In normal times, it takes me hardly any time to manage it.? Obviously, the last month (in which we transferred membership and 10 years'

Re: Multiple e-mail problem
Hi Bruce, I don't have anything set up to forward e-mails between my different e-mail accounts. If I have a Groups.io account under the "wrong" e-mail, how do I find it? When I go to the group with

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
Thank you Peter! Well under half-an-hour per WEEK sounds very do-able! I do not expect disputes, and so forth, but who knows what lurks in the hearts and minds of group members? Regards, Ken, KM4NFQ

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
Thank you for your replies. I have absolutely no experience whatsoever with any groups. I am not transferring a group from Yahoo! Groups. And yes, I would like to modify my original question to "how

Group messages
Hi I have had my group transferred which is great. The messages were transferred over and put in a main folder. I tried to export the whole messages and download to a zip file as the process I thought

I'm sorry, I think I posted the screenshot multiple times in the same post. Not sure how that happened. My apologies. I just heard back from the member who said that it only happens consistently with

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
I'd add that if you need to be hands-on in terms of dealing with disputes, inappropriate posts, breaches of guidelines, etc. then of course it will take more time. I have a group of 900 users who post

Re: Current Delay ?
My 5 main groups are all completed. Now I'm trying to transfer several subgroups into the main groups. Since Transfer has not joined as yet, I can't make it a Mod, hence there is no status.

Re: Photo permissions
I very much suspect so. The first problem (which I described above) is that the photos retrieved from Yahoo are likely to exceed the storage space available for a Basic group. That would mean that it

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
It depends on a lot of factors. Moderated or not? If?moderated, and it is of interest to people in other time zones, you might like to find at least another moderator ideally in another time zone.

Re: How much time does it take to manage a group?
Good question. In my opinion it's not a question?of managing a group, but of letting a group evolve. The question is probably better put as how much time does it take to monitor a group? But then it

Re: Photo permissions
Margo -- That is incorrect. In groups.io, photo ownership is entirely separate from folder ownership. If someone uploads a photo to someone else's public photo folder, they can later delete (or move)
