Donations to pay for the upgrade from a free list to a Premium list
Currently Premium lists can collect donations from members for the Premium cost.
When free lists were confronted with a required upgrade to Premium if they had 500+ members, there was not an equivalent method for free lists to accept donations to pay for the upgrade. Doubling the Premium list cost at the same time increased the need to accept donations. This issue is not dead, only delayed.? Before the policy? is changed again, free lists should be able to collect donations before they have to pay for a Premium list. -- ken clark www.shastasprings.com |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHello Duane.That would be a great feature.? I am also working with Wilson on another issue.? I downloaded his latest PGO but it refuses to log me into Yahoo groups to even see my group.? This is despite the fact that I use Waterfox (Firefox 56) as well as Firefox (v70.0).? The problem appears to be that despite not getting the Yahoo oath message (I refuse to accept their oath so when browser presents it I say do it later which will be the sixth Tuesday of never) in the browswer PGO must be getting it.? So Wilson or his new programmer will be working on a method where PGO opens the browswer if a problem occurs (like the oath pop up) so it can be cleared and then go back to PGO.? I just hope this happens before Yahoo groups deletes everything!? At this point I can't even use PGO.? Wilson did offer to grab my groups but that is a lot of data and I would prefer to do it myself.? I have not had any luck getting Python to run on my Windows 7 box and the other 2 or 3 Github utilities seem to be Python scripts and all have said they do not work that well anyway so PGO seems to be the only game in town at this point. Thank you. Jim Pruitt On 10/25/2019 9:53 AM, Duane wrote:

Click on a Subscriber anywhere in their "line" other than the checkbox. At the bottom of the page there is a section called Posting Privileges with a list of 7 options; choose whichever is appropriate. Bruce;
I did all of that and there is no [email protected] as a member and no one has deleted them. I even checked the moderator & member activity logs and don't see any mention of a [email protected]. I was on top of this and checked right away when I received this email to promote them to moderator. Support needs to resolve this and not focus on the people who are paying the extra $200 to expedite their transfers. |
Re: Importing CSV Database files
I'd suggest creating a Database on and then exporting it to a json file.? then, you could maybe use that as your template?? Possible that creating the database that way -- and then you could import the data in csv.
?
Back when transfer was free, imported our databases.? I was then able to use that guidance to create json templates.
?
So, not sure that will help but may let you see certain characteristics of each cell.

Re: Price doubled?
I can see the price going up $10 or $20.? But double?? The owners of Group I/O are getting a lot more money from folks leaving yahoo.? I guess that was not enough for them.? It is actions like this that gave a company a very bad name.

Re: [email protected] isn't a member of my Yahoo group
Transfer process is working like a charm even though it took several days and for current requests will take quite some time. In our case, we need to transfer messages going back to 2000. If you just want to transfer members, it can me done manually very quickly even though some computer skills are needed. Groups.io is godsent and we have a new platform to migrate to. Mark's foresight is helping millions of users. On Fri, Oct 25, 2019 at 1:31 PM Edward Borg via Groups.Io <cadkiller=[email protected]> wrote: Here is the transfer letter I received |

Turns out, search indexing runs in a separate process from normal groups.io operations. With this heavy server load, the indexing is lagging behind a bit. I have attached the screenshot.Edward -- Okay, based on this screenshot, you have invited the transfer agent and it's been accepted, but you're having trouble finding it. Go to your Yahoo group. Pull down the Management menu and select Manage Members. See screenshot #1 (attached). In the list of members click the "Joined" column header so the little caret to the right points down. See screenshot #2. This should bring the most recent members to the top. Look in the column labeled Email. The agent's record should have "[email protected]" here. If you are still allowing people to freely join the group, it may not be the first record. Keep scrolling down until you find it. When you do find it, follow the instructions found at? to promote it to a Moderator, then return to groups.io and click the green button (give the go-ahead). If you get to the point where the "Joined" date is well before the date you sent the invitation, then the transfer agent membership must have been deleted. Do you have any other Moderators or Owners who might have done this? Hope this helps, Bruce |
