I have a member who is signed up for individual emails, and we have had a lot of them in one subgroup since Wednesday evening.? But - her email delivery history shows a last successful delivery on Nov 1 with a message of: 2.0.0 JKylgGj1TiO4OJKyogjvNZ mail accepted for delivery. But her most recent unsuccessful delivery attempts shows no email deliveries. In another subgroup where we have had less emails (but some), it shows no email deliveries in both fields. Other than to tell her to change her email address how can I tell what is going on and how to fix it (other than to tell her to change her email address)? Thanks Beth |
who gets Updates at Groups.io?
A neighbor wants to transfer her PTA Yahoo list to groups.io and wanted to know if all members of the group are automatically subscribed to [email protected].? I honestly don't know, because I'm an owner/moderator for most of my groups.?Am I subscribed because of that status?? Are ordinary subscribers also sent updates???

I went to Admin>Settings>Features>Files>Permissions, then selected "Subscribers can view and upload".? Then I did the same for Photos. Somehow those switches were reset about three days ago.? I don't know how that happened because members could upload files and photos before the beta testing began.? And I find no record of any such settings change under Activity.? No problem now that I know how to make the fix.?? Thanks a bunch for pointing me in the right direction! Milt Baker |

As suggested, I went next to the "to" address and clicked the little "Show Details" arrow. The?Reply-To?field goes to the group. I then went to my personal gmail settings and the Default Reply behavior was not set at all. So I set it to be "Reply" and I still have the same problem. This does not appear to be an email reader problem. It seems groups.io is not setting the field correctly. Does anyone else have their groups.io group set to "Reply to Sender" and it works as intended?

It is definitely set correctly. I've tried setting it and updating the group like 12 times. It is not a gmail issue, it happens to everyone in the group. Does anyone else have this problem?

The owner of the io group has now made me a moderator of the io groupThat's what I thought: moderator isn't good enough. The owner must make you an owner of the group, or do it him/herself. So do you have to be a moderator on IO group to sort the transfer?I believe you must be an owner of the IO group in order to initiate or manage a transfer. >That is what I thought. I am trying to go through the process as per?/g/GroupManagersForum/message/8697?yet when I get to the Easy Yahoo Group Transfer I am able to type in the yahoo group details yet where it comes to the dropdown list for groups.io there is nothing.? > This is all there is. I have of course clicked on the arrows but zilch. Nothing at all. So my head is well and truly being scratched. Again any help will be gratefully received. Regards?? |

Can anyone here tell me whether we can we invite that many to join theConfirming what Duane said, you can invite them all at one time - I've invited up to several hundred at once, others probably more. The only hitch is that the invites will likely be briefly held for review by Groups.io - usually less than a day. Only problem is that they are now in random order. It would be niceI don't think there's any way to set or adjust the posting time when posting them as you are doing; but if your process posted them in order they ought to have remained in order. If the messages as posted retain some of the original message header fields, especially the Date field, you might ask [email protected] to copy that field into the database such that the messages appear to have been posted "back then". Please review the Y!Group transfer instructions and GMF's collection of notes about Y!Group transfers. /yahootransfer /g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Transfer-from-Yahoo-Groups If you feel you've taken the right steps in the right order please give us more detail on precisely where you are in the process: what you've done and what you're seeing, so we can attempt to help you correct whatever's wrong. So I and the 460 plus people in the yahoogroup are sort of in limboThe transfer process makes no changes to your Yahoo Group, so you should be able to continue using it until you are satisfied with the progress of your transfer. How about an option to "Remain permanently logged in?" Those choosingI like your suggestion to update the cookie on visits better. No new option to implement or explain. So that's what I've proposed: For efficiency reasons (and possibly other reasons) one wouldn't want to update the cookie on every page load, but I'm sure Mark can work out an effective way to do it. An owner of a yahoogroup has been trying to transfer over to io. However not sure why but it has been a disaster from start to finish. I am now trying to sort it but.......
So do you have to be a moderator on IO group to sort the transfer? Also I not that I have sent many invites to [email protected]?and not ever gets done. So I and the 460 plus people in the yahoogroup are sort of in limbo now. Any ideas please?? |

Calendar - Reminder Notices date format
My apologies if this has been asked and answered already.
I am struggling to find where to change the date format for calendar reminders. ? I am in Australia and use the DD.MM.YY format. ?I have this selected everywhere I can find to make a selection but the reminders still arrive with the American format of MM.DD.YY which is confusing for our elderly members. Can someone please tell me if it is possible to change the reminder notices and if so where do I go to do it? Thanks in advance, Regards, Pamela |

When looking at an album I recently posted I see that the photos are in Title order. Each time I try to change this to "Sort by taken" my instruction is ignored and "Sort by posted" appears. The default always reverts back to "Default by name" i.e. alphabetically. Sort by date taken is the best/most logical order to me. ? Thank you, ? Barbara |
