There are two choices in the Privacy section of Setting:
Listed in Directory, Private Archives
Not Listed in Directory, Private Archives
I assume archives being private means non-members if the main group cannot view the content of messages. The only thing non-members see is a monthly table containing the number of posts for each day. Is this correct?
I do not understand the significance of being listed in the Directory, or not being listed, mostly because I do not know what the Directory is.
With respect to subgroups, I want members of the main group who are not members of the subgroup to be able to view messages, but to hide messages from non-members of the main group. Is the appropriate setting
Listed in Directory, Public Viewable Archives?
