Without knowing more of your particular situation, it depends as Frances said. If it's something that doesn't need to be changed then PDF works the best as everyone can open them and most folks -managers or members- will use it. If it's something that others need to change and post back then it needs to be some format that others can easily open and edit or otherwise modify. Unless if the PDF is a self-saving fill-in form, anything else that requires actual editing of the contents shouldn't be sent as a PDF because not everyone can edit PDFs and not all PDF editing available tools are implemented by others besides Adobe. (or at least it used to be like that) If it is something you post on some frequency and each time you have to make changes, have the original in something else than PDF, like your word processor, then export or print as PDF when needed for the mailing. If it is something you get asked to modify on some frequency, ask the sender to instead provide you with the source document they used to print/export the PDF, many a time is a word processor format. If the sender uses a PDF Editor, ask them to export it first to a format of your choice, which you can easily change then and export to PDF before mailing. Cheers, Christos |
