they are on that list, I click on Reply. If I can't find them, I
don't do anything. In either case I receive a message "New Subscriber
To ... with the email address and the name and/or email address is on
the groups.io member list.
What am I doing incorrectly? Why is the name/email address on the
member list?
Have a look at the group's Activity log for clues. Perhaps another moderator is approving them? Perhaps some form of auto-reply in your email service is doing it?
