From the above I conclude (perhaps wrongly!) that you set up a new group and then set about populating it by invitation rather than by paying for 12 months Premium status and having your members transferred from Yahoo.
If the above assumption is correct then the result falls into the category of "self - inflicted wound". At the same time the problem you have - even if it is shared by others - is something of a one - off event brought about by Yahoo's sudden announcement of its near demise rather than a situation that is likely to repeat itself regularly in the future. On that basis it might be better to let things settle down and weed out those invitations that have been accepted (as suggested above) rather than ask Mark to do more software development to cover a diminishing need when what he is likely to need most is some respite from all the work he has had to do over the last few weeks.
