Gene - Any accounts that were
already?in bouncing status at Yahoo are not transferred at all. These will be reflected in the transfer completion report sent to you by groups.io.
Subsequently,
additional accounts will begin bouncing when the notifications that groups.io attempts to send to individual members come back undeliverable. It is quite normal to lose a substantial fraction of your group that way too; but what some folks fail to recognize that those people were actually lost a long time ago.

Yes, or something along those lines. Check the Email Delivery History (click the corresponding button at the top of each member record) to find out what errors were returned. Any "500-level" error is usually considered "permanent."
If you want to chase down some of these accounts, you can always try to email them outside of groups.io or whatever to see if they're still around. See?
