Re: Editing the Wiki

LeeAnne,

Did something happen to the copy of previous versions of wiki pages.
When editing a wiki page there used to be a list of the versions that
each editor did. I finally have some mods using the wiki but can't
see their changes.
Near the upper right of the page it should say something like "Last edited Jul 13 - 43 revisions" - the number and word "revisions" should be a link to the list of them.

There should always be at least one revision - the creation of the page counts as one. If you're not seeing a count of revisions there then you may need help from support. Likewise if you see the link but it doesn't bring you to the list.

If you see the list, but it shows only one revision it is possible that one of the mods mistakenly "cleaned up" by deleting the other revisions.

I think there also used to be a fail safe to stop two people working
at the same time?
Alas no. At present the rule is "last save wins".

I've asked on beta@ for some protections there. I'd prefer that the system automatically merge parallel edits. Or failing that at least have a "claimed" indicator such as is done for editing pending messages.
