Re: Can group owner change a members email-address?

Victoria,

... this person is - by transfer - now member of one of the groups.io,
and if this person stays logged in over months in the new group and
opens messages or files within the group in order to read them,
without posting anything. Does yahoo then recognize this person as
active with their address and spares him or her from bouncing?
No. Yahoo won't know anything about what that person does using the Groups.io web interface. So staying logged in at Groups.io and doing things there will have no effect on whether Yahoo deactivates their Yahoo Mail address.

If the person signs in to their Yahoo account, and reads group messages delivered to their Yahoo Mail address, that will keep their Yahoo Mail address active. I don't think it matters whether they also post via the Yahoo Mail interface.
