Personally, I think this hashtag concept for an email group, is overly complicated for older generations of computer users.
I think the curent hashtag options plus pending requests, if all implemented, go well beyond anything I'm interested in, BUT... if it's true that it's too complicated for older subscribers, then group owners who require hash tags to be used... especially the more complicated aspects of them... will hear complaints about it from their older subscribers. And in the groups that don't require their use it really doesn't matter how complicated they are. Seems like a problem that will be solved by simply letting the "marketplace" decide.
