Checking in with all my flute players

Hey everybody. Amanda here. My YouTube handle is flute player 86. Just checking in with all my fellow flutists. How are you? Things are well here. Still playing flute and recorder. The performance on May 26 went really well. A friend of mine and I did a trio of pieces. Pussy willows cattails by Gordon Lightfoot, morning has broken by Cat Stevens, and seek first out of the Bible. Matthew chapter 6 verse 33. Pussy willows cattails and seek first were both played on flute, while Morning Has Broken was played on recorder.

Thanks for checking in, Amanda. I had a pleasant suprise Wednesday evening while attending a Jazz jam session, in which I played both sax and flute. The regular guitarist and drummer were absent, and their substitutes were the piano player and drummer with whom I recorded two Jazz albums, whom I hadn't seen in a while. I felt inspired. My flute solos were pretty good considering that I didn't have a chance to warm up.

I'm still practicing when I can (almost daily; my law practice keeps me very busy).

?Hi Mitch. Good to hear from you. I'm also still practicing Flute. It's good that you're practicing law as well. That is so awesome. I'm still also playing the recorder. On May 26, a friend of mine and I did a neat little trio of pieces at the beginning of church service. It went really well. I have never seen a saxophone. Up close. Also, there is a gentleman who was an excellent saxophone player. His name was David fathead Newman. He mostly did jazz saxophone, but sometimes he did the flute. He got the fat head part of his name, because of a music teacher. The music teacher called him a fat head because the music for the bassoon was resting upside down on the music stand, and he was playing from memory. For David Newman to take that epithet and roll with it shows good musicianship.
