Hi Rod,

Right now it tastes fine. As good as Piping Rock. I had switched to it for awhile; but tried PP again when supplies were available because they had a price advantage.

Joe, I have a question. I see Puritan's has oil again as you indicated. How is the flavor? When they stopped carrying it a while back it was right after I got a batch that tasted terrible. I thought it was rancid, but they said it was because the seeds weren't "de-bittered" prior to pressing. Regardless, they refunded me as I could not use it.

I've used both of them depending on availability. Puritan pricing is better. But last year they had a dry spell due to a problem with their supply chain. I haven't had a problem with them so far in 2024.
?
Quality is good with both companies in my view and both offer huge savings compared to Barlean's.

Flax seeds DO NOT need to be debittered! If a company is writing this to you, it is BS. If it tastes terrible, it is rancid. I press raw flax seed and it is never bitter.

Just so folks are aware Barleans offers their flax oil to cancer survivors (link on their website) at wholesale prices, which works out to about 30% off retail and free shipping with a $75 minimum order.? ??
Thats how I'm sourcing mine, hopefully helps someone on this list.

It is still nearly double what you can get PP for on sale, Joe. Nothing against Barleans, but they are just another brand name in a large pool of flax oil options.

PPs buy 1 get 2 free for 24.99 is pretty constant now. It represents an increase from their previous buy 1 get 2 free for $19.99, but it's still a good deal..

Right again. But there are also further promo discounts for points. So, as I said that may lower the costs into the $7 and change range.

It is still nearly double what you can get PP for on sale, Joe. Nothing against Barleans, but they are just another brand name in a large pool of flax oil options.

Just so folks are aware Barleans offers their flax oil to cancer survivors (link on their website) at wholesale prices, which works out to about 30% off retail and free shipping with a $75 minimum order.? ??

Thats how I'm sourcing mine, hopefully helps someone on this list.

Before I started Budwig and besides the cancer, I was also diagnosed with NASH and my liver enzymes were off the chart. A year or so on Budwig and my liver numbers normalized and today well below high range. Just had a heart scan and it came back zero plaque or blockage of any kind. This is all due to the Budwig protocol using the brand I said at the beginning. Hope this helps some.
Thanks that's impressive. Did not know it helped liver enzymes and keeps arteries clean..as well as cancer

I would encourage anyone interested to sign up at Puritan's and create an account. You will get emails when things go from buy 1 get 1 to buy 1 get 2, and also discount codes. You will also earn points for cash discounts. Same for Piping Rock as they have 50% off sales often.

I will give PP a try as well after my last Barleans bottle runs out - their prices looked very good and I was surprised it¡¯s also organic.
