Hi Liz,

I have bladder cancer also. I just had a TURBT a month ago with an initial intravesicular treatment of Mitomycin-C. I was supposed to have 5 more rounds starting yesterday but there has been a mix up with the insurance/pharmacy/doctor, so it has been delayed. I don't know about BCG but Mitomycin is cytotoxic. Did your doctor try Mitomycin before recommending BCG??

I didn't see a reply to your inquiry about beta glucan.? I'm taking Transfer Point Beta Glucan.? I have no idea if it works at this point but it is highly recommended by several cancer coaches. The best pricing I've found thus far is at

They offer a discounted price of $56.65 per 60 capsule bottle of the 500mg w/ free shipping for their auto-ship / subscription program.? They ask you to call 800.746.7640 M - F 9 - 5 EST

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Dan

Hi Dan

I had a TURBT for a tumour March 2012 after which I became an organic vegetarian and went for what I thought would be my 5 years all clear scan on 2 May where we saw 3 new growths starting on the bladder wall :(

Subsequent biopsies confirmed they were all malignant....because they're early stage, BCG immunotherapy was recommended (80% success rate but some recipients end up with tuberculosis) with Mitomycin to be used if the BCG didn't work.

That urologist couldn't answer my questions e.g. the mechanism by which BCG works, the % of people that get TB from it, when the '80%' success rate is measured, immediately after treatment or 1, 3, 5 years down the track. ?She also failed to take photos of the 3 spots prior to doing the biopsies and then refused to do another in-rooms scan to take photos & confirm the biopsies were healed (as is required) prior to the BCG treatment. ?We are no longer working together.

Since 2 May I have had IV Vit C therapy (Riordan protocol), discovered the mechanism by which BCG works, been on Budwig Protocol, been having Ayurvedic herbs & therapeutic treatments (they're great!) and doing Dr Tuillio Simoncini's treatment for bladder cancer (intravesicular sterile bi-carb solution [NOT by mouth as many suggest] in certain quantities, time frames etc.) all in the hope that on 23 August when I go and see the new urologist and have an in-rooms scan, we will be able to see that it is all clear apart from the TURBT and biopsy scarring! ?Simoncini claims 100% success given patient compliance and I have spoken to a woman living less than an hour away from me that did this in 2009 for her bladder cancer, Lorna has had no recurrence :) ?Let me know if you want any further info on this protocol.

Thanks for the Beta Glucan tip Dan, much appreciated :)
Best I've found is from the link below and it's AUD$88 which google converts to USD$69.88, quite a bit more than your USD$56.65! ?

I also understand Transfer Point to be the best brand however I'm keen to discuss the info from the two links below with my doctor in the next week or so as it suggests Beta-glucan is being used to diagnose invasive fungal infections and I want to make sure it doesn't feed them! ?Like a PET Scan, used to identify lots of cancer, is an injection of radioactive sugar that goes straight to the cancer identifying but also feeding it. ?If the doc says it's not doing that and can explain the mechanism to me, I'll follow up the link you've sent below and add it to my 'tool kit' :)

Dan I haven't heard from anyone else with bladder cancer so I'm glad you reached out to say hi :)

Perhaps we'll 'talk' again!

Best wishes to you too.
Cheers
Liz

No I don¡¯t, he does Skype consultations though and if you look on the web you will find an email address for him - he sometimes takes a few days to reply but has always replied to my emails.
Also, for breast cancer I¡¯ve heard that apricot kernels are very effective, one friend in Australia was healed from breast cancer with prayer and using that therapy alone, no other medical intervention.
There are many breast cancer testimonials from Budwig Protocol too!
Best wishes with the path you and your wife choose to take Manuel :)
