Dan
Please, ask if he can give you a name or two of same like practitioners down South FL way?
Also, share my comments re clogged prostatic ducts and its complications with Dr.Silverstolpe and forward his feedback.
I blew it with Dr. Steinsnyder, he didn't like my asking questions,(my intentions were not to challenge him) so he booted me.
I'm not able to produce prostatic fluid from the self prostate massages (my mantra for years)
Dr. Shoskes @ Cleveland Clinic wanted $500 just for the initial!!!!
EPS= Expressed Prostatic Secretion aka: milking the prostate, prostate stripping, prostate drainage.
The prostatic ducts become clogged ( can be seen via microscope)creating a miriad of problems: erections not holding, erectile dysfunction, jet-lag ejaculations, frequent urination, dribbling.
Sort of like roto-rooting (pipes getting reamed, cleaned)
Wishing us all the best of recoveries.

P.S
re lowering PSA
Try this for 14 days:
1- CCFOFSG cottage cheese+flaxseed oil+flaxseeds grounded, religiously twice daily.
2- Exercise 2-3 times weekly to the point of sweating.
3- Follow your BMI (19-25) Do your search, if not I'll show you.
4- Fast one day a week.
No sexual stimulation for three days prior to blood drawn.
I dropped from 12.9 to 6.9 (12/23/'02 - 02/26/'03 following this format.

Jim,
difficult to judge symptom-improvement, since there are so many subjective factors. biggest difference is that the first prostate massage was excruciatingly painful; now there is no pain at all. prostate is smaller, feels like that anyway. i will have ultrasound test here soon and get it measured. sometime i will make another long trip to see Dr Bard. less nocturia, though i still wake up to urinate 1 or 2 times per night. less occasional pain in prostate region.
my psa is down 2 pts, from 26 to 24. so that is not so good. but at least it stopped going up. last year it was 12. before that 9.8 . probably necessary to wait at least a month after my massage before having psa test.

ps- as i mentioned here before, there is one doctor in North America recommending prostate massage - J. Curtis Nickel of Canada. you can find his books on prostatitis at Amazon. or try Google.

Hello all,
here's a new one on me. i have been having prostate
massage every week. the 85-yr-old doctor who does it
(a maverick here) told me today that by examining
the prostatic fluid which drips out after the
massage, he can see that i do not have cancer.
i was not aware that it is possible to diagnose PCa
by microscopic examination of the expressed prostatic fluid.
any comments on this?

Dr.Silverstolpe sounds like my kind of guy. The 75 year old doctor that I use for my blood work in Dallas has a small lab, a chemistry set up and lots of books; and I have watched him use this stuff to provide relief for quite a few individuals that I have referred to him . Some of the people that I have met in his office have be using his skills for twenty years with success. He maintains a very low profile after a confrontation with the "profession", in fact he doesn't even have a name on the door.
