Re: cabbage juice---A search under "vegetables enzyme inhibitor spray"

Starris,
I can also say that when my wife and I have grown lettuce, or peppers or tomatoes or kale in our home garden, that those vegetables, when washed, dried and kept refrigerated, have easily stayed crisp and fresh for a week or more. Elliot |

Starris,
Hi. What do you mean, please, by "I only know about it from work."? Such is not the case where I live. Here in Illinois, potatoes do not have inner brown spots, and here the only store that does not use a water misting system on its vegetables---one that operates about once every 60 seconds---has lettuce and other vegetables that indeed become wilted within a very short time. I do not shop in that store, in fact, because the vegetables are so often dried out and wilted. If stores had a way of spraying vegetables with something to keep them from wilting, they would not be going to the expense of using an electronic water spray system to keep them fresh. And if the process of spraying vegetables with a chlorine-like enzyme destroyer was as widespread as you say, I have to think there would be information on the internet about it. There is none that I can see. Elliot |
Re: cabbage juice--okay for your healing, Anna, but Dr. Budwig did
No I think that when someone is talking about cabbage juice that has been cultured should say instead "cultured cabbage juice" and not just "cabbage juice".

Anna Anna, but Dr. Budwig did call for soured or cultured cabbage juice, not just fresh cabbage juice. I am glad you are healing, but it is in fact you, if anyone, who may be confusing fellow readers. I do strongly suggest that anyone having a problem drinking the juice one gets from the recipe in our files try making cultured cabbage juice using cultured vegetable starter. |
Re: tests for cancer and statistics
Statistics can be depressing if you pay attention to them. We are each
individuals, and we are all different. The fact that we are doing things like FO/CC and other things to improve our outlook means that we are no longer part of the statistical model. Dont buy into the statistics! Terry |
yogurt from Trader Joes
Trader Joes has yogurt from Greece, the brand is called Fage.
It tastes very different from American yogurts, it has a much thicker consistencey and is not slimy like American brands. It actually reminds me of the Quark at Trader Joes (which is the only quark I have ever had). I am thinking it is a good substitute for quark and cottage cheese. I have a problem with all the additives found in cottage cheese, even the organic kind. Any comments Terry |

I only know about it from work. Our organic veggies wilted and went bad in hours to days because we didn't use it. Grocery stores sell veggies two weeks old that still look fresh . . . look how long lettuce lasts, for example. It's still good a week or more after you buy it. I remember lettuce turning yellow and soft on the second day before it was treated. As for potatoes, they might be as much as two YEARS old when you buy them. You can see their age when the sprouts grow inwards instead of out and there is a brown speckled spot inside.

From: breathedeepnow also turned up nothing. That is strange. Where did you hear or read about the phenomenon of supposed spraying of store bought vegetables with a "chlorine-like enzyme inhibitor" please? Re: cabbage juice

I have never heard of this "chlorine-like enzyme inhibitor" being used
on "all store-bought veggies." Certainly it cannot be totally potent, as storebought carrots with tops will still sprout, potatoes and sweet potatoes will sprout, and, I certainly expect that the insides of all vegetables and fruits would not be affected by what you are talking about. They would have to soak the vegetables in the stuff to treat the entire vegetable. Is there anywhere you know of that I can read about such an enzyme inhibitor being used on store-bought vegetables? Thanks. Elliot |

Anna,
In case someone should misunderstand your post. Low levels of sulphured proteins are found in many foods. Likewise, the vegetables you mention do contain sulphured proteins but it is very low... it is something like 6% to 15% of the sulphured proteins found in CC. These vegetables are a good food and an additional source of sulphured proteins, but they are not a substitute for Quark or CC in the Budwig Diet. Wilhelm There are sulphurated proteins in cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, brussel sprouts, brocolli etc.) also there is sulphur in the alium family( onions, garlic, leek, etc) these will deactivate the cancer cells and prevent further mutations. Re: cabbage juice

I'm late on this thread, but maybe store bought cabbage doesn't have it's enzymes because, like all other grocery store veggies, it's treated with a chlorine-like enzyme inhibitor to reduce spoilage and increase shelf life. The juice might require organic cabbage that hasn't had it's enzymes inhibited.

From: oohthisloveis I had the same experience. The smell was intolerable. I couldn't even get close to it without the feeling of gagging. I never attemted the process again. I to would like to know if there is another way of making the cabbage juice |
Re: tests for cancer
breathedeepnow
Yes, Wilhelm. That needs to be the philosophy of anyone with cancer who
expects to heal from it. Those statistics regarding who lives how long with what kind of cancer are put together by people who know virtually nothing about the real way of healing from degenerative illness. Such numbers are to be ignored by those who are serious about getting well. |

Harry, where did JB says that you should not take FO alone? I am pretty sure she suggested the intake with Quark because of a better and faster assimilation in the body, but I can't remember having read that she said it could do harm.

Do U remember which of her books said that? Thanks, Sybille H&M Feld <ariel@...> wrote: You are making a BIG mistake taking flaxseed and flaxoil without a sulfurated protein(cottage cheese). Re: cabbage juice
I juice cabbage leaves and call it cabbage juice, what you are drinking is
"cultured cabbage juice". Please use the correct terminology, so as not to confuse fellow readers. I cannot help you with this dilemma, because I drink cabbage juice and find the enzymes and other antioxidants, minerals to be sufficient in my healing. Anna From: "Nelson Doucet" <ndoucet@...> Right! 4 oz (1/2 cup)of cabbage juice with equal amount of water 2 to 3 times a dayinstead as instructed by my naturopath. These have enzymes and other good things. diluted'is that what you did?I did notice that you have to drink your 'cultured cabbage juice Anna |

Very well said Mike.
Wilhelm Vanessa, You wrote: > According to the charts I have a 30% chance of making it > to my moms age now. I hope you're not accepting such a dismal prognosis as reality. You're here, you're already eating well, you're still learning. I have a hard time believing you're not going to do better than statistics from a random selection of typical people. You're exceptional, and your path is your own. Peace, Mike D. |
Re: Posting a document to download?
W. Hansen
Hi Neenah,
you can add a link or a URL address, but you cannot add an attachment, they are automatically deleted by the Yahoo computer. Wilhelm I joined the group recently. In my first post, I invited Renee to email me privately for more information. However, I found that my email response did not go through to her, for some reason. In addition, other people contacted me for the additional information. So, now I would like to post the information as a PDF document for interested members of the group to download. Does anyone know if there is any way to attach a file to a post or to make a document available for download? Thanks, Neenah |
