Re: progesterone

Denise,
Suzanne Somers wrote a book entitled The Sexy Years. She talks about
her use of progesterone in her recovery from breast cancer.
I, too, have breast cancer and was talking w/ my oncologist about
using progesterone. She told me that years ago, before Tamoxifan,
they used high doses of progesterone to treat breast cancer.
HOWEVER, I concur w/ some of the others: I would not use it w/o doing
the saliva tests because the key is BALANCE. Too much of a good thing
can cause trouble.
I believe this is what Dr. Budwig was striving for: balancing the body
so that it was operating optimally.

Blessings and healing to you!
Jan

Re: DHEA and breast cancer (PROGESTERONE)

Denise,
You misread what Melissa said. She said bc (breast cancer), not bp
(budwig protocol). I've pasted that part of her post below.
Blessings,
Jan

Re: Update on my wife's painful scalp tumor: please give your feedbacks

Satish,
I was at an alternative clinic a year ago. There was a woman there w/
breast cancer. After awhile her tumor turned to liquid and "erupted"
out of the skin. It oozed for about 24 hours and was painful. She
went to her oncologist and they did scans. The dr. was dumbfounded
that the tumor was gone. However, a surgeon did go in and "clean up".

Hope this is helpful. I'll be praying for your wife.

In last coupe of weeks, the tumor grew to bigger and it has lost

blood-like liquid continuously and she has to change her scarf many a
times. The pain has reduced considerably.

I am crossing my fingures and closely watching the further
devlopments hoping that the tumour size may come down.

Let me know your thoughts on the same.

OFF TOPIC

Hi all,
I have a friend who has vulvodynia and vulvar vestibulitis. We have a
very informed group here, not only with regards to cancer but many
other medical conditions. I have already emailed Sandra privately, but
unfortunately she was not able to help. My friend has been to the Dr
and has tried many different things, which have not helped. If anyone
has any info or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated. Please
email me privately.
Thank you.
Janet

Re: VERY indelicate bowel question ...

THis is also true of my young children, whose diapers used
to turn pink when they ate beets. And they were and are
totally healthy. It just seems to be something that beets do.

Racheli,

You can find goat's "ARAVA" cottage cheese in most health food stores in Israel.
If you wish, you can drive to the Dairy (Haez Halevana"- 08-8596968) and buy directly from them.
Tell them that Gubi from Ra'anana sent you, and they will give you a substantial discount.
You can buy 3 weeks' supply as it keeps that long in the refrigerator.
I suggest you buy the 3% (versus the 5%) cheese.

We just returned back home to live in Israel and it is so hard to find
the products here.
I'm still looking for organic cottage cheese and can't find it.
What are the alternatives? can I mix the flax oil with goat yogurt or
cow yogurt?
Thx
Racheli

Update on my wife's painful scalp tumour

Hi Satish, I have been reading a book called Essiac Essentials (Rene
Caisse's Herbal Cancer Remedy...... essiac tea). Not that I am
promoting Essiac tea, merely informing you regarding results which
appear to be similar to what your wife is experiencing. The book
describes one of the cases ie thirty year old man who had tumour on the
brain stem. After taking Essiac tea a cyst on his neck began to
enlarge (his tumour is on the brain stem). It became very hard and
sore, by the end of the month, was leaking clear liquid and a cottage
cheese like substance. The pain around the cyst disappeared and
whatever was left of the tumor was discharging out of his nose.

It also explains that swelling occurs when matastasised cells gather
into the primary tumour. Cottage cheese effect... resembling curds and
clear liquid occurs as the cancer breaks up and discharges from either
the bodily orifices or from localised cysts or swellings.

Hope this helps.....

Kind regards...... Denise (Good health to everyone)

DHEA and breast cancer (PROGESTERONE)

Melissa, I am still taking progesterone. I am not sure what you mean
when you say 'I still believe that Progesterone is protective against
BP'. Do you mean you think it works against BP or do you think it
helps BP. I am only asking as I am trying to work that one out for
myself. My 'basic' understanding is that Progesterone stops the
cells from splitting/dividing. I don't know whether that means it
stops them from maturing (which would work against BP). I am hopeing
it just 'simply' means, stopping them dividing in general. (ie
slowing the process down). I thought this would give me a bit more
time for the BP to work and for my body to get 'fighting fit' as I
had previously just had 6 sessions of chemo (every 3 weeks), and a
major operation to repair damage to my intestines from radiotherapy 5
years previous. (I was hospitalized 4 times during chemotherapy).
My thoughts were that the diet would probably take longer to work as
the cells weren't dividing as quick as normal. This seems to be the
case, as I am doing the rest of the diet 110 per cent (to compensate
for progesterone), and at last after 4 months I am seeing changes in
the lymph nodes.

I would appreciate your/any group members views/comments, or any info
you have gained which would help me make the decision whether to
continue with progesterone.

Everyones input is greatly appreciated. Kind regards...... Denise

Wishing everyone good health.........

that with your mets ... ???

Re: Mel's update

Melanie King

Rhoda,

Ambrotose is the brand name of a glyconutrient product produced by Mannatech. It is an MLM company. You can do a search on glyconutrients and come up with all kinds of info on it. You can also find a few mentions of it in the flaxseedoil2 archives. I think in the discussions we've had here the conclusion has been that though it is certainly not necessary add anything to Budwig, Ambrotose probably does not interfere. It is a food rather than a supplement. It is pretty expensive. It would cost about $500 a month to take it in the proportions recommended for seriously ill people. So it's not very practical for most of us. Like I said, I'm taking it because my friend ships it to me. During the months that I was too sick to eat properly I was hoarding it, so I've got quite a stash.

Yes you can yogurt goat or bovine. You must however strain it to remove the whey. Any porous cloth--like cheese cloth until you have a soft cheese like consistency. This will be like quark.

CORRECTION/Re: Indelicate subject - Red Beets and deficient hydrochloric stomach acid

Hi Jerome,

I'm curious about the source of your information. Is it based
on a research study that you could find and link in a message to the
group? I notice that you used the word, "supposedly." It sounds as
though you aren't sure about your statement. Do you recall where you
heard or read this information?

Here's a link to an article by a gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic
who says stools of various colors are quite normal.

Other articles that I read when I Googled this topic said that
stools are often the color of the foods we have been eating.

I found this which that it
is genetic and/or suggests iron absorption problems (anaemia). Worrying, as
I only have to look at beetroot and I pee red.
