Re: Fear of doing the Budwig Diet only.
Rhoda Mead
When I first started BP, I got a whole lot of very strange looks. But I had
nothing to lose because my second course of chemo didn't put me into remission. My family understood very well indeed that if this didn't work, I had no good options. But no one wanted to know what I'm doing. Now that both I and my husband are thriving, most of my friends and relatives are curious about what I'm doing, and how to start. None have cancer, but we are all in our 60's and 70's, so have degenerative diseases. Rhoda |

THanks Rivkah. I drink the outlined Veggie juice every day and drink Green Tea ALL day throughout the day.

have done well with the lung, and suspicious spots on the liver, lymph and adrenal - but it was the returning brain tumor that was too much? She showed no external symptoms in her body. In Navarro HCG results we had a '57' right after the surgery followed by another '57' 6 weeks later and the final one last week of '56'. So this showed no evidence of increase. She/we have spent our lifetimes focusing and trying to avoid all things which might lead to illness. She had not been to a doctor nor even had so much as an aspirin in over 40 years. Her vitality had been extreme up until this struck out of nowhere. She led a passionate, intense, driven life, as was her choice and style. She lived life on her terms, and that is the way she wanted it. - Ben "Sandra Olson" wrote: It sounds as though the cancer was wide-spread throughout her body. |

I take Doctor's Best Serrapeptase 40,000 units per veggie cap, 2 once a day away from food because I do not use it to digest food. The ingred says vegetarian capsule (cellulose, water) enteric coating.

Dear Ben,
I am so sorry for your loss. At least she was not in pain or nauseous as you have shared. I would imagine that it was a very peaceful transition. My heart goes out to you in your grief. I will not pretend to know what you are feeling as I have not been through what you have. I can only tell you that in my mind, you and your lovely wife are surrounded by Light and Love and Peace and Beauty and Grace Everlasting. My condolences. Bronwynn |

Wow, I had no idea the calorie count was so high. When I started
eating raw over 2 years ago, i lost a lot of weight(was 70lbs overweight) even though I ate a lot of nuts. Now I am doing the BP, and have less of an appetite, so I eat less nuts. I don't drink the wine and will not since I have liver disease and cannot believe that it won't hurt me. I use stevia or agave instead of honey and don't eat grains unless sprouted.Everyone is different so I don't presume to advise you, but one thing that should help is to increase green juices and drink green tea. Good luck to you, Rivkah "Bronwynn" wrote: PLEASE HELP. I"M SICK OF BEING FAT!!!already taken out the Champagne since I found out it was optional. However, I just counted the calories and 2,150 is what I came up with which like WAY too much for me. No wonder I can't stop gaining weight. I am 5'3 and used to weight 120 to 125. Afterchemo (which totally altered my metabolism - no, I did not binge out of depression) I now weigh 157 and can't seem to get the weight off. Johanna advises against heavy excercise if one has had or hasmetastasis (which I did). But that 20 minutes of walking a day just aint cuttin' it. What do I do? Can I cut some of the Diet? If so, which part? I am also finding that I am not even hungry yet stuff it all down because I know it is healing me. I feel so full all the time and don't like it. |

From: iricheka Barbara, it is my belief that digestive enzymes are very good during the cancer curing protocol. I've been taking Vitalzym on and off for a while (it contains several good ones like Protease, Serrapeptase, amylase, lipase etc) and just ordered some Serrapeptase, Bromelain and Papain. I have this feeling that the enzymes are helping me more then any other supplements I've tried, they are the only ones I'm planning to continue. Plus I've been tracing cancer/yeast fungus connection for a while now and whether it's proved or disproved to be on the safe side it's good to supplement with digestive help and leave less gunk for the microorganisms to feed on. What schedule do you do Serrapeptase supplementation on? And how different do you feel? |
Re: Brain tumor re-growth-(final report)
Dear Ben,
I'm so very sorry that your wife could not overcome the cancer. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I found your message from May 31st when you explained the complexity of her condition. You wrote: "My wife has been on the BP for over two months. She was in a state of robust health and high energy before evidence of a brain tumor appeared in February. The tumor was surgically removed in March and it was learned that the primary cancer was in the lung with metastasis likely to the liver, lymph, and adrenal, as well as to the brain. She is avoiding Oncologists and will not be going the chemo/radiation route." It sounds as though the cancer was wide-spread throughout her body. It must have been very aggressive considering that she was healthy in February and by March had the kind of complications that you explained in your message above. I'm saddened that cancer came into your lives at all. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. With hindsight I now wish we at least had had scans maybe 2 monthsshe needed whole brain radiation and this might give an average 4-6 months to live while without averages were more like 2-3 months!). My current thinking is that we needed the new tumor dealt with to giveus more time for overcoming the cancer. - Ben (devastated) |

Re: BP and Warfarin
Ilona Wright
Hi all,
Is anyone on this list taking Warfarin; blood thinning medication? I was wondering how the BP effects your Warfarin levels? My husband went off all medication, about 2 months ago, that had been prescribed to him by a naturopath and now is only on Warfarin and Lipitor (for cholesterol). The doctor told him yesterday that his liver was processing the Warfarin. That means that his liver function has improved and to us this is great news. I am hoping that eventually he can get off the Lipitor as well. My husband has a metalic heart valve. I was just wondering if as your health improves and organ function improves on the BP, would the Warfarin levels keep increasing? Thank you Ilona Adelaide, Australia |
Re: Brain tumor re-growth-(final report)

As I have reported previously, my wife who had a metastatic brain
tumor removed on March 15 did seemingly very well for over 2 months and then started a gradual fatiguing decline until she was totally exhausted. Since that report there was only more gradual decline, with eventual loss of each functional ability. At no time did she have pain nor nausea, and also we had no contact with oncologists or any scans which would permit us to know more. It would seem highly likely that the tumor returned. I was in denial thinking we would find a way for her to recover, and trying up until just a few days before she passed away last Sunday. With hindsight I now wish we at least had had scans maybe 2 months ago, which might have shown early stage re-growth. Which might have been eligible for non-invasive radiosurgery such as `gamma knife'. (the oncologist in March had told us while we were in the ICU that she needed whole brain radiation and this might give an average 4-6 months to live while without averages were more like 2-3 months!). My current thinking is that we needed the new tumor dealt with to give us more time for overcoming the cancer. - Ben (devastated) |

While I am sorry to hear about your brother, I hope that you and he can take solace in knowing that MANY MANY people have recovered fully and totally by using this protocol. And yes, even those who were labelled "terminal" and given just weeks or days to live. Johanna Budwig used to go into hospitals and carry people out, off their death-beds and get them well again. To help in the HOPE category, I suggest that you read the folder *"Some of Our Many Testimonials of Healing". These testimonials are found in the Folder titled "FSO2 Folder 1 - Introduction -Please READ THIS FIRST" in the "FILES" section of this site. As far as the diet goes, you will find all you need to know about the details in the following folders. Please take the time to read each one. They are not that long and won't take that much of you time to read . And I suggest you do it in the order that I list them. "FSO2 Folder 1 - Introduction -Please READ THIS FIRST" #1 "Introduction to the Budwig Protocol-Must Read" #2 "Some of Our Many Testimonials of Healing" "FSO2 Folder 3 - Budwig Diet" #3 "1 - Transition Diet" #4 "2 - Flaxseed oil - Quark (CC) mixture" #5 "4a - Budwig Diet Outline" #6 "8 - Outline of Budwig Diet Liquified" I hope you find what you are looking for on this site. The testimonials in the folders are REAL and many of them were written by people who communicate on this site every day. People who have cancer CAN and DO recover. All the emotional and logistical support you need, you will find here. Welcome once again. Much Peace and Love and Light to you and your brother on this journey. --- "Suzette Dillon" wrote:

I have found out that it is readyto drink on the 6th to 7th day. The longer you keep it out, the more sour it gets. this make a large batch of juice which is fine for me because my husband and I drink it every day. I hope this help. Ursula John: I drink 250ml (1cup) first thing in the morning, when the kraut is ready I scoop all the juice out of the jar and put them in quart jars , they go in the refrigerator you will have a lot of shredded cabbage at the bottom of the big jar I use my juice presser to get the rest of the juice out of the kraut cabbage when you see that you only have enough juice for 7 day get busy with another batch hope this helps you, Best Wishes, Ursula |

I joined this list because my brother has stage IV cancer and was
given only a few months to live. Hospice has been coming out once a week for three weeks now and Tuesday he decided to try the Bill Henderson Protocol. We are trying to figure out the diet and FO/CC. Don't know if everything that is available for the Budwig Diet will apply to him or not. It says no sugar, which is not too bad, but I wonder is Honey can be used. It seems that at least one of the recipes has honey used. Another question is the spices, do they need to be organic or can they come from the regular grocery store. |

Josie: I don't know what else to tell you. If you are afraid to
taste the mixture, just dump it and start a new batch. the jar that I use has a large mouth about 7" in diameter it comes with a lid. some people do not stirr the mix and still is ok the cabbage has to ferment in order to make the enzymes that we need. Yes you drink the juice and the cabbage solids you press in the juicer hope this helps Ursula --- In "josielsa2000" wrote: ..... I hope this helps. Best wishes, Ursula |

This is very interesting as I had mono as a highschooler. I developed NHL follicar, small cleaved cells in 1998.......did no treatment but alternative. The nodes melted away. BUT devloped BC in 2003 and 2006 - my oncologists see this as a depressed immune system which can not fight off cancer. Hummm After 10 years without a node, I have one that appeared on my neck, small but it is there. before going into panick mode, I will have a root canalled tooth checked, which is right above it, first. I have a strong feeling that something is brewing under the capped tooth. Looking back, I think my cancers were brought on by humongous amounts of stress over the course of many years which totally depleted my body of defense mechanisms. It probably is quite more complicated than this; however, stress is what I am trying to minimize with great difficulty. Martine "steve_lmcs" wrote: Hi Janet |
