I also came up a recipe for a "ranch" type dressing that is based on the FO/CC: 12 TBL Cottage Cheese 6 TBL Flaxseed Oil 3 TBL - 6 TBL Milk 2 TBL ACV 1/2 Lemon Sqeezed 3 TBL Dijon Mustard 2 TBL Raw Honey 2 TSP Garlic Powder 1 TSP Onion Powder 1 TSP Dill Weed 1/2 - 1 TSP Celery Seed (to taste) 1/2 TSP Pepper 1/4 TSP Salt 1 TBL Dried Chives or Parsley (crushed) Mix CC and FO and 3 TBL milk as with muesli and add the remainder of ingredients. Add more milk as necessary for consistency and refrigerate. Makes about 16 ounces of dressing. Re: Budwig and antioxidants
because I need more to get a better mix, to get it white

?
Make sure there is no 'yellow' flax oil showing...should be all white when fullt whipped..
As for the 'lumpy'.....not sure why that is occuring.
But why 4:8 ratio?
Dr Budwig recommended a 3:6 max portion.....with two TBLS of grounded flax seed.

I have to use a nutribullet to mix, but sometimes it is a little lumpy, but oil seems mixed (accept for a few drops) and vanilla in color.? Due to small ratio 4/8 tablespoons, nutribuleet doesn't always get it entirely cremey...is this ok?

Does vitamin c interfere with the Budwig protocol working? Thanks, Barb On Sun, Mar 3, 2024, 8:38 AM Jenny Nelson <jltnelson@...> wrote:

Re: Budwig and antioxidants
You are fine with your cottage cheese (many of us use Daisy because it has no "extras") and Barlean's. Barlean's lignan is clearly marked. Yours is the correct oil. Jenny N? On Sun, Mar 3, 2024, 7:22 AM <gsixtysix@...> wrote: I am on the Budwig protocol for prostate, but made some errors |
Budwig and antioxidants
I am on the Budwig protocol for prostate, but made some errors
!.? I was taking vitamin c,? so I have to cut that out completely, what other supplements are considered antioxidant? 2.? I bought non organic cottage cheese, 2% low fat, can I use this short term? until used up or will it cause problems?? Also I have Barleans flax, but it is organic non gmo, but it does not say whether it is non -lignan, how do I find out for sure? |
Re: Cottage cheese.
Hi John
Please see attachment for photos. Is this the Skyr that you mix with your flaxseed oil? If so, the protein content is just over 10%. I'm in the UK too, I haven't come across Skyr with a protein content of 18%. The second photo is the Kefir Quark that we use for our mixture.? It has a higher protein content than Skyr, at 12g per 100g. Ocado and Marks and Spencer sell it,? and some Sainsbury¡¯s stores too. Fantastic news regarding the oesophagus cancer! Best wishes Julie |
Re: Cottage cheese.
I missed the yogurt part, rather than cottage cheese. Do you have issues digesting dairy? Re: Lignans
Swanson is having a 35%-off sale/free shipping (ends today). Code is PREZ. This makes Barlean's 32 oz Flaxseed oil $25! It's heavy, so be careful, if you order lots, to separate your order so you don't get an extra $11 heavy-item shipping fee. Link: Good luck!? Jenny N? Re: Flax Oil question
Brad, I use a combination of Safflower seed (nutrasaff variety, which is guaranteed to contain high linoleic fatty acid, unlike other safflower varieties, which are high oleic fatty acid) and flax seeds. I generally shoot for a 3:1 ratio, which means I press 2/3 safflower seeds to 1/3 flax seeds.? I have compared using only flax seeds to this modified combination, and I have consistently gotten better results using this combination. I might also remind you that Dr. Budwig has on record prescribed a similar formula but using sunflower oil and flax oil for a woman who overcame breast cancer. This can be found in her book, Death to the Tumor Vol 2. I wish I had access to raw hemp seeds, but so far, I have made do with the safflower/flax combination. doug On Tue, Feb 20, 2024 at 10:43?PM brad na via <Bradna9=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Cottage cheese.
Yes indeed. In a perfect world everything we eat would be organic but that is just not the case. The reason I gave the edge to Daisy is that it only contains the 4 basic ingredients, no fillers or coagulators etc. Where I lived at the time organic was hard to find and was very expensive. I think people spend too much time worrying about the minor details rather than looking at the entire protocol as a whole. Don't cheat on the diet and you will most likely heal. Rod in MN/USA.
