PSA Test - 80% margin of error - new test coming
For those interested I was listening to a PBS radio broadcast that
described the standard PSA test giving upwards of 80% false positive! Yikes! Apparently there is a new test, not yet released, that is close to 100% accurate. It apparently requires only a fluid sample gathered similarly to a visit to a sperm bank. That makes the most sense to me. |
Yahoo Groups System is working again. Send your messages
Hi Everyone,
Yahoo has repaired the problem that we had on Saturday, so feel free to send a message. Welcome to the 59 new members who joined our group in the last week. I hope each of you will read the Welcome Letter you received, the 'Introduction to the Budwig Protocol' that came to your email inbox, and the testimonials that were sent to you. Those three documents contain links to our Files and Links Sections which have excerpts from Dr. Budwig's books and a great deal of other informaton. After you have read through the documents you received, please send us a message about yourself and ask any questions you may have. Kind regards, Sandra |

I could use a bit of background to know what you are replying to. What did Josie say that prompted this response? I am concerned that my sauerkraut wasn't really done after the 5 days in my perfect pickler. I figure it's not hurting me, but am not convinced it is serving its intended purpose. Melanie ----- Original Message -----
From: Rhoda Mead Hi Josie, Fermenting is anaerobic. Requires NO oxygen. Easy to do by simply using a small enough jar with a lid, fill to the brim with the mix and put the lid on. Place it in a bowl, because the fermenting process produces gasses, and liquid will come out. Drinkable, but not the sourkraut juice we need. It tastes quite different than regular sourkraut juice. Works better in hot weather. Rhoda . |
Re: Lymph nodes
Dear Steve:
I am not sure I remember all the particulars of the protocol I followed 10 years ago for NHL but it was a major cleanse: No eating for 10 days and taking a mixture of Sonne 7 amd 9 plus supplements...... I must say that it was very hard the first three days, thereafter, I felt terrific and my mind was razor-sharp. The cat scan that followed no longer showed lymphs nodes that were swollen. So, essentially, it was ridding the body of major toxins.... But now, I developed BC in both breasts, three years apart which proves my immune system is still not working "properly" I started BP a few weeks ago and feel well. I also worked with a disciple of Dr. W. Kelly and his metabollic approach. As Melanie stated in her post, it is often difficult and fear inducing to choose one protocol and stick with it and not succumb to the pull of others which often make grandiose claims of curing cancer. I believe the Budwig protocol has solid rational foundations as it corresponds to my belief, philosophically, of what the entire world is based on : energy. buckwheat
Melanie King
I just don't get the buckwheat thing. I cooked the groats and ate them, but they just don't taste good to me. I know that they can be used in all kinds of fancy recipes, but how do some of you eat them when you just want a bowl of groats? Do you flavor them with something? Mine just had salt, but I wouldn't say they tasted particularly good.

Red wine and breast cancer?
Melissa
Hey y'all, mine was one of the posts that got lost in cyberspace. ;) Anyway, I have read that
postmenopausal women who drink even 1/2 glass of red wine per night have a 60% greater risk of breast cancer. Well, I have already had that and I have no breasts anymore ... LOL Anyway, I have been drinking 1 glass per night, of organic red wine (which I have to drive 45 minutes to find ... aaarghhhh!). Since i'm doing Budwig, do you all think this is OK in light of that research? And no, I'm not scared or fretting ... just curious ... and drinking a glass right now! ;) ;) xxoo Melissa |

Re: Brain tumor re-growth-(final report)
Ben - I am so, so sorry for your loss. It had to be so hard to
watch the vibrant woman you love lose her energy and health. Your description of your wife is so wonderful and reminds me of my mom who died from ovarian cancer last month. And, while everyone tells us that at least we had the time we had, and now the memories, I would much rather have her. Grief is a process... My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family. -Kim bnbgold wrote: She/we have spent our lifetimes focusing and trying to avoid allled a passionate, intense, driven life, as was her choice and style. WHY More pain at night????
We are approaching over 3 months on the BP for my mother-in-law Mary,
who has primary liver cancer and the tumors are very large at this point. As of late she has been having a lot of pain at night. So much that she is unable to sleep. During the day, she seems ok and doesn't complain about pain. The pain came on suddenly as she had just had several "good days". We are doing everything....castor oil compresses, eldi oil enemas and following the protocol to the letter. We don't know what else to do and we don't know why she is having so much pain at night. We are wondering if we should "juice" her last meal of the day instead of solids... Has anyone else experienced this? How have you dealt with it? |

What alternative did you do in 98 to melt the nodes away - was it the BP ? I admire you looking into other possible factors such as root canals. The mono I had was very intense - missed school for 3 weeks each time. Coincidentally or not, I also had my four wisdom teeth removed about the same time. Two and half years later I developed testicular cancer. I had surgery to remove the tumor and then a radical (17 inch incision) surgery to remove the lymph nodes from my front section. In retrospect, this was the stupidest thing I've ever allowed a doctor to do. They took out a major portion of my immune system and left me with about 300 surgical staples (metals). Keep reminding yourself your body was designed to heal itself. If it isn't, like mine, there MUST be a reason(s) why not. Also keep in mind that every person on the planet has cancer cells in their body. It's only when they get to a certain number that they call it cancer. With the BP as the major solution, AND looking at other contributions such as dental issues - you/we all can overcome this condition. Best regards, Steve You wrote: Steve: This is very interesting as I had mono as a highschooler. I developed NHL follicar, small cleaved cells in 1998.......did no treatment but alternative. Many conditions can bring on swollen "glands" such as the flu and other infections. The only way to know whats in the node is a biopsy. Re: PSA drop
Hello to all,
To Cynthia and everyone else that's interested. My prostate cancer was found during a check-up.The prostate was enlarged and after a month on Avodart with no relief my urologist did a biopsy which confirmed his feeling.I wish I had known about the BP before I elected for surgery but now I am only looking to the future and many years to come.(I'm only 49) Fighting on in Apollo,PA. |
Yahoo Groups System Problem Today
Messages that were sent on Saturday after Cynthia's post were not
added to our board in a timely manner by Yahoo's system. As I write this about noon Pacific time, I hope they will all appear eventually, but I want to let you know that something is malfunctioning today with the Yahoo Groups equipment. Sandra |

Michele - your kind words (and those of the others here) mean so much
to me. Thank you! Yes - Barbara was not interested in further conventional care (the initial surgery seemed absolutely necessary in March or time would have been very short). To her recovery meant regaining her former level of independence and vitality. Compromise was not in her nature. If one had to choose a single word to define Barbara; 'intense' might well be the one. She did not fear the end. We had 49 years together and were thinking that was just the start! - Ben --- In FlaxSeedOil2@..., manofharrod@... wrote: take. You were there for her and your love must have meant so much to her, you did everything you could. I've come to realise that the real pain is with the people around me and not in myself. Re: Ezekel bread
Hi Karen and Halima,
Remember that you can do a search into out archives by using the search box just as you would with Google. By doing a search of older messages, I found a couple recipes for Ezekiel bread from Cheryl du Toit, one of our excellent members who perfected ways to carry out the Budwig plan. Karen, the 2nd link may be what you are looking for. Here's a link to a message in which Cheryl gives a recipe for oven baked Ezekiel bread. In this next message, Cheryl gives a recipe for all sprouted grains for the bread. Sandra "Turmeric4" wrote: Halima,it would be easy. Most of the sites have some of the grain sprouted and the rest of the recipe is just grains. The is the best one I could come up with.page=index_v2&id=266&c=6

Re: Serrapeptase, a proteolytic enzyme
Sylvia DeSantis
I first started using Serrapeptase with Sheri because I heard it would be good for her cough. But, after reading all the benefits, I started it myself. I didn't really have any real problems to target. One thing I have had for years is a pain in my back. For the most part it was something that I just lived with and didn't take anything for the pain. I noticed after taking Serrapeptase for about three weeks, I have no pain in my body. It's amazing stuff. I have recommended it to everyone I know.
I now order the 80,000 IU. I now take one or two a day for maintanence. Sylvia |
