Fallnet rides again!
Jeff/all, Thanks muchly for the invite. Delighted to see that the Fallnet blend of sanity, wisdom, vitriol, Fall lists, book recommendations and general intransigence lives on. I¡¯ve been lurking on Fallnet since 1998, with only the occasional post about the outer limits or S Hanley¡¯s rumoured return to the band in 2001. Next scheduled post is around 2024. Cheers all JC

An Lurker Write's 3
This is no place for lurking. So here I am. Out. And proud! No news here. Not much to report. I expect things are much the same in Jeff's neck of the woods. Oh, nearly forgot. A couple of people here have 'a touch of flu'. Hah, a likely story. Heroin withdrawal, more like. I blame the parents.

Hey there fuck faces! 3
Just kurious, Jeff, was there already a lowercase fallnet, hence the capital nuh-en in the group address? Also, where are are missing team Pat? Pete

F*llNet Movement for Plandemic Resistance Movement. 5
Dedication Not Medication "Pierce Brosnan how dare you prescribe Sad grief and bed wet pills Hurley Worley how can you prescribe Sad grief and bed wet Pill Wringler Worley how dare you prescribe me Bed wet pill and deep grief Con and Cookie how could you subscribe Bad grief, bed pills" The psykick warning of MES against the "Sub Lingual Tablet" from beyond the grave is unmistakable. I have begun shaving on a weekly basis to disassociate myself with Westcoast weirdy beardies. Not with a blade or seven from Gillette, obviously, but with a hair trimmer. I am not a krank. Also I press strangers to my bosom to feel the warmth of their bodies before speaking or breathing. Lizards are cold blooded. [taps nose] [lizards do not have noses] Bill (pronouns: I,Me,Mine) ?

I could never get her on my portable TV (MultiCon) 7
From the Dept of Intersection of FitbaCon and BicciesCon (and therefore ObFallCon) Dept, I note that Nobby Stiles is No Longer In Need Of Season Tickets. (tips flat cap in greeting to Dr. Hamilton) In other unnecessary news unrelated to anything or anyone ever, I worked until 1 am for the third night in a row. Yay, irresponsible bosses! Yrs for when you absolutely positively need it filed with the Court at the last minute :) Hello, new FallNet!

Heartwarming 11
I have to say, it's quite a pleasant surprise to me to see all the 40+ new subscriptions for this "last days" iteration of FallNet! Lots of folks from days gone by have decided to stick with us. It's great to have you all here, thank you! JC

Hey everyone. Not sure if I'm waking from a dream or this is the dream. Probably both. Names and stuff slowly coming back to me. Has anyone seen a tall German astronomer in here somewhere? David

USA! USA! USA! 6
I just want to tell you all, good luck, we're all counting on you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB2yqeD0Nus But that's enough of your Orange Twat difficulties, I've enjoyed the Fallnet retirement home reminiscences. Does anyone have a spare tartan blanket? My knees are cold. So very cold. Toby

Hey!
We're on the right side of the dirt! And still breathing! (Most of us, anyway.) I know we lost Brent Colyer some years back. So here's to both the reunited survivors and fallen FallNetters. It feels good to be back. cheers, CC

Imperial Wax Solvent reissue 7
Anyone got it? Is it worth it? The last reissue we invested in was the 3CD "Reformation" which we received but haven't played (not having a working CD player). Saw that IWS was getting the same treatment but haven't jumped on it... yet. Greetings from NZ, Mark

It is currently Bandcamp Friday, where 100% of all revenue from sales of music goes to directly to the artist. https://isitbandcampfriday.com/ Listmeister Jeff has an EP available, for example: https://coffeehut.bandcamp.com/ Mark

So, anyway... 7
...how have you all been keeping? What a joy it is to see [fallnet] cropping up in the inbox. Did you stick with the gruppe til the end or drift away? For my part, I tried to get to every W Yorkshire gig & occasionally further afield (Skegness!). Found the gigs more diverting than the records, often enough. My last one was Wakefield, Oct '17 - MES's antepenultimate performance. A memorable night. Pete Conk, kurious

This may interest? I¡¯ve got some 1979 photos taken by a mate at a ¡®6 like dice¡¯ pre-Dragnet gig in Hull. Should I post some? Deltic Balti .... 19
¡¡ was my favourite ever FallNet thread title. Thanks to KiddR for alerting me to this group. O how fantastic for a Friday afternoon, it¡¯s made my year, I often think back to those halcyon days. Anybody tracked down Melliferous Mel yet? For the record, I¡¯ve never been a Maths professor. Java Developer at Liverpool actually but I¡¯ve been in Oxford since 2004. Seen the Fall here a number of times. Gert absolutely looked like Jeremy Beadle. To tell the difference you had to examine all his fingers. That¡¯s the give-away. Gert never had the nerve to chop a finger off therefore his plan for world domination never succeeded. Unless you¡¯ve done this one to death, I¡¯d be interested to know who everybody¡¯s favourite band is these days. I¡¯m loopy about The Lovely Eggs. adam

Just checking to see if Chase got the invite. Some of the Chasebot threads were hilarious ( gentle ribbing in a FallNet stylee).
