Hello all. Been a while, to say the least.

Re: Hello'een

Hello, after 25 years talking Fall twaddle on various internet platforms it's nice to be back on FallNet. I first joined around the time of The Fall's gig in Dublin, December 1995. I did once have a FallNet Chipping Sodbury tour t-shirt, but sadly it's long gone.

Re: Imperial Wax Solvent reissue

Yes, disc 2 of 3 in the CD package, or vinyl 2 of 2 in the LP.

Also Alan Hamilton of Wellington, New Zealand.

He was at the first NZ Fall gig that I attended (Auckland, 2011), wearing a Fallnet t-shirt.

Hey!

We're on the right side of the dirt! And still breathing! (Most of us, anyway.) I know we lost Brent Colyer some years back.

So here's to both the reunited survivors and fallen FallNetters.

It feels good to be back.

cheers,

CC

Did you assume F*llnet would be like a BBC discussion programme where everyone agrees with a prescribed line?

But the polls are still open over there. Tell them the qualities of Joe Biden before it is too late.

Hi Alastair.... I can recall how surreal it felt to be buying Revelation Space and then telling people, um yah, no big deal, but I know the author. "Really?" Uh, well, erm, well?no, actually, no, I don't... at all... I mean,?you see, there's this thing called Fallnet.... well, let me back up a bit... there's this band called The Fall.... {conversation unravels into series of non sequiturs from me about seal meat or the 9 Unknown Men or Keith Chegwin}.
?
There were a few Als about in the 90s as well... Arid Al Angan? Alan McBride? likely more....? Allo to all of you

Wasn't it the Simon against which was pitted Are Late Grate Simon FB in the Contest of Fallnet's Favorite Simon Contest? But wasn't that Fluendy?

There weren't four Fallnet Simons, were there?

Not Simon

Re: Hello'een

Arjan was still on ye olde Fallnet I think. I caught up with him by email quite recently and saw him
a year or two ago, probably would have seen him again this year were it not for Covid. He works
in regional administration in the Netherlands. travels a lot for chess tournaments.?

Other ancient peeps in memory who haven't popped back up yet:

- John Howard, of US, who I stupidly argued with over the wankiness-or-not of free jazz and ended up swapping tapes with

- Colin, of Scotland, famously unlucky

Thanks to whoever mentioned Peter Reavy; I always remember him saying "I'd rather talk about yoghurt pots".
