That explains it! Last night I was at a musical soiree.? ?Greg. Malcolm, Jenny Ward and Erica Grant's? ?Slightly Imperfect - The World of Ivor Cutler.? ?Arranged by Greg who was in UK in the 1970's. Telling a (i thought a bit unnecessarily sardonic) version of Ivor's life and performing arrangements of his songs. With Jenny Ward acting them out.? When he dedicated one to Professor David Thomas it went over my head, I thought it was a local friend.? When chatting with youngsters with an interest in music of the pros about live bands of the 70s.? I always reckon Pere Ubu, in the flesh , on the level of Siouxsie, The Ramones, Beefheart and The Pop Group.? Only saw them the once in the tiny Portsmouth Poly, no doubt other old fallnetters saw the same tour?1978/9?, I imagine you Jeff got to see them a lot.? ? stve
