Have Where The Beach? got into moderne habit of boxes with practice room tapes, demos, radio sessions, alt takes, live versions et al? ?Must be some sort of anniversary.
ObFallCon: Did you move to Oxford to get away from the lingering odour of fromage in the Liverpool Uni mailroom?

Ooooh, On The Wire ¨C I used to listen to that show every Sunday afternoon. Where else but on local Lancashire radio would you get a 3 hour tribute to Yabby U one week and an interview with MES and
two hours of acid house the next?
?
On The Wire were the people who ¡°discovered¡± my band. We were premiered the same week as The Levellers (5) and New FADS on the ¡®demos¡¯ session. That was a good trio of bands wasn¡¯t it, well, a good
duo at least. We were lucky enough to be interviewed live on air on by Steve Barker a few years later.

I only just found out yesterday that On The Wire was taken off air in March of this year. Casualty of COVID apparently but I suspect they¡¯d been trying to dump it for years.

There was enough money flooding around for there to be a security by the desk ensuring no sneaky line-outs, I reckon

Thanks Stefan, it doesn't sound too bad, hopefully the LP sounds as good. Live albums from the Beggars Banquet years are a bit of a rarity. It's strange that good quality desk recordings didn't surface from this period when the group was fairly well funded.
