We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Phyllis Adelsberg,
beloved mother of Howard Adelsberg. The funeral will take place today
at 1:00 PM at the Parkside Funeral Home, 98-60 Queens Blvd., Forest
Hills, NY (718-896-9000).

Shiva is being observed at the home of Howard's sister at 21 Roble
Road, Suffern, NY (845-362-8805) thru Wednesday morning February 12th.

May the Adelsberg family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and
Yerushalayim.

Please note that Rav Weinberger's continuing series of shiurim on tikun
hamidos will resume this motsai Shabbos at 8 p.m. in the shul. We are also
having a father/son melaveh malka (for all ages) featuring Chinese food,
Jewish Music and divrei Chizuk from Rav Weinberger. Cost is $10 per person
with a $25 per family maximum.

There will be a Young Couples Minyan at the Young Israel of Woodmere this
Shabbos on 2/8 in the Saul Kaufman Social Hall @ 9 AM. Please join us.

We are looking for someone or a group of people to sponsor the Kiddush at
the upcoming Young Couples Minyan this Shabbos. In the event you wish to be
a sponsor please contact one of the Gabbaim listed below as soon as
possible.

Furthermore, we are looking for people who can Lain and who would like to
Daven for the Ammud. If you have a Simcha a Yahrtzeit or if you would like
to be a Baal Tefilah, please contact one of the Gabbaim to inform us of your
request.

Congregation Bais Tefilah of Woodmere(Edward Shul) is proud to
announce the first in a series of monthly lectures given by Rabbi
Gedaliah Oppen - Director of Student Affairs @ HAFTR Middle School,
and the youth director at Bais Tefilah. The lecture series is
titled "Practical Applications of Chinuch", and will take place at
Congregation Bais Tefilah- 409 Edward Ave. ( corner of Peninsula), in
Woodmere. Men and Women are invited to attend.

The first lecture will be on Wednesday evening February 19th, from
8:00 PM- 8:50 PM. Maariv will follow.

The Young Israel of Woodmere 43rd Annual Dinner will take place on Saturday evening, March 1st, at 8:30pm at the Sands in Atlantic Beach. A message from Kulanu

 

In KULANU's ongoing need to raise funds for the many programs that service more than 150 children with special needs, ages 3-18, in our own community we presently have a source to sell certain used clothing items and would like to receive donations of GOOD QUALITY MENS SUITS. The suits need to be clean and in good condition. Please drop off donations of GOOD QUALITY MENS SUITS ONLY at the Kulanu Life Skills House 68 Washington Avenue, Cedarhurst. Monday though Fridays 8am to 5pm. If you require pick up please call us at 516 569 3083.
