Tom Call is a former USAF fighter pilot, having flown OV-10s and F-15s operationally from 1988 to 1992. As a civilian CFI he specializes in tailwheel and aerobatic training. To fund his flying passion Tom is an Engineering Fellow with Applied Signal Technology, a division of Raytheon, in Sunnyvale. He is new to the Bay area, having moved here in August of 2019. He partnered with Steve to purchase the Glasair III N88SA. Steve and Tom are currently looking for another partner or two in the airplane.

Folks,

New Member Needs Assistance With Glasair
Good morning to All, New member Tom Call has a Glasair currently parked at PSA. Please see the following:
It is a Lycoming IO-540-K1A5 engine with Bendix S6LN-1227 magneto. I am replacing one spark plug lead that I am getting from Kelly Aero. My email address for this is abcaviationllc@.... Thanks for looking into this for me.

This Saturday, March 13th we will have an outside socially distanced coffee and donut event at James Madisno’s new hanger which is directly next to the Sonex hanger. It will be at 10:00 am. Please bring your own coffee mug, mask and enjoy a morning at the airport. Lee Techiera has graciously offered to have the Sonex at Jim’s hanger for us to check out. Last week Lee and his team ran the engine on the Sonex! There is a distinct possibility that Elizabeth, Don Baldwin’s grand daughter will join us to see the wonderful progress on the Sonex.

The EAA Chapter 393 invitation that was sent out this morning was from my cell phone which was a first for me. Some members have brought it to my attention that the original invitation was lacking certain information. Below is an invitation from my iMac which will also provide the password. Please note that the General Meeting starts at 7:00 this Wednesday with a 30 minute Social Hour beginning at 6:30.
