All three lead screws are 7/16-10 acme. Cross slide and tail stock are left hand thread, compound is right hand thread. You also need to address any end play in the lead screw mounting bushings. The

There is a spacer on the end of the threading lead screw. This allows you to shift the gear on the lead screw one gear thickness. You move the spacer to the other side of the gear on the lead screw
