Hi Andrea As to the half nut what you¡¯re looking at is a very well done repair job. Dalton never made a set of half nuts with bronze inserts but is a standard practice for repairing worn out threads

Gareth if you talking about two holes that are on the face of the legs there was a gear storage wrack that bolted onto the inside of one of the legs. The holes at the end of the legs are for bolting
