Re: RTTY/FSK setup?

 

How do I tell WW or EXTFSK to put data on the TXD pin? I
just can't seem to find this one.
Start MMTTY (start WinWarbler and select RTTY), then open
EXTFSK from the Windows Taskbar (it will be minimized there),
select the correct port if needed and click on the TDX radio
button. Then you can click on the (_) button to return
EXTFSK to the taskbar.

Are you sure. What I have is a 480 MByte file: IE Version 6.0.2800.1106

Back in early '06 I used it once for a customer who had wiped out his IE
user interface. Don't recall any unusual interactions, but my memory may
well be faulty.

Actually I don't think you can completely remove IE from your
system.
There have been huge lawsuits over that but Microsoft claims
it is
an
integral part of the system and cannot be removed.

With WinXP+ you can hide the IE desktop Icon and make another
browser
the default but you can't remove IE. Yes if you want to
download
IE 7
(It's a big improvement over IE 6 so I recommend you do that)
it
first gets a very small executable that I believe determines
what
parts of IE you need to download for your particular system
and
downloads only what you need. That works, and it minimizes
the
amount
of stuff you need to download. Why is that a problem?

Yeah. I had intended to set it back up so that I would have an automatic
lookup on every double click of spotcollector, but I suspect that isnt going
to work, when I cant get it to operate on a manual lookup there.

Not going to worry about it right now. I have still to put the dual monitor
AVG board in, and get that running, but was wiating for the new hard drive,
which still hasnt arrived, so can get the other computer up and running
before I take this one back down.

Sitting here for three hours now, calling HK3O on 160meters. Dozens
calling, and he finishes a QSO and calls CQ. Its maddening. Absolutely the
best night down south for 160 I have seen. He is s7-9 , and half dozen PYs
calling him are in 55 plus, and I need both countries. Got my lil amp
cranked up so much it wipes out the computer, so have to stop ocassionally
to check mail, etc.

When I go thru DXLauncher and put any call in the QRZ , including yours or
mine, I get the script error. I note that this time, I am NOT getting the

Thanks.....this is a new low even for me.

My DXlabs programs are installed individually under each application
name in the Programs Subdirectory.

The Launcher knows this and install updates in the right place.

The Databases were being put under a Programs&#92;DXLabs
Suite&#92;DXview&#92;Database

I never noticed so I was using some pretty old stuff.

I just noticed that when looking at spots on another PC in the house, I now
need to enter the host (the one that is actually running Spot Collector)
PC's IP address, as opposed to the network name of the PC. In other words,
I used to be able to call it up by pointing my browser to
, but now I need to enter the IP, as in
. The same time I noticed this problem, I had to
reload my network printers, as they wouldn't respond. This all happened
after an update from Microsoft for my XP. Coincidence?

Hi Buzz,

Ctrl+Delete button will delete all of the QSOs displayed. If you filter your log only the filtered log entries will be deleted. No filter, the whole log will be deleted. Note: If you place your mouse over any button you will see the various options for these buttons (only if you have "Show control explanations" checked in the Guidance panel of the General tab in DXKeeper's Config.)

Deleting QSOs

Hello,

New to DXLabSuite and I imported a bunch of QSOs from another log to mine. Is there
a way to delete ALL the QSOs in the logbook at one time without having to delete each
QSO individually. There are over 3200 of them. Thanks for the help for this newcomer
to this logging suite.

I think I just got lost. Am I sure of what? That its gone - or that
nothing is happening? I dont find it in the programs, or arrrrgggggghhh
that brought up something -- I just went to start , search and found a lot
of mentions of I.E. clicked on a few of them, and just got pages of stuff I
had kept in folders. Then BINGO as the Europeans are want to say - Internet
Explorers main page came up on screen. I did a bit of punching and sure
enuff have a shortcut back on the desktop, and tested out and I got IE. I
dont know where it all went, but got er done.
Thanks for the quesiton - which stirred the gray matter.

With the lightning hit, Ive just been going in circles here trying to get
things back together.Apparently, IE is not a program that shows up on the
add/remove screen. As it was not there, I thougt I had removed it.

there without ever having done much, and have left it an hour
or
more to

affect. Have been trying to find a separate full copy of
IE,
but
eerywhere
I look it just want to upload the setup files, and that
fails
every time
I
try to use it. Using Win2000Pro here, and have tried IE5 and
6
both. If
I
misremember, 6 is for XP?

Yes, the Advanced window's "Modify QSOs" panel can be used to apply
a "time shift" to the Begin and/or End times of each QSO in the Log
Page Display. From the documentation:

You can adjust the contents of a QSO's QSO_Begin or QSO_End item with
a "New item value" that begins with a + (to add a time interval) or -
(to subtract a time interval). For example,

+1y adds one year
-1m subtracts one month
+3d adds 3 days
-2h subtracts 2 hours
+5n adds 5 minutes
+3s adds 3 seconds

Neither fractions nor combinations are permitted; if you want to add
3 hours and 30 minutes to each QSO's start time, for example, use
+210n.

If the "Card Aging" report does not show a mode, you have that
entity confirmed on that modes but not on the band. If it does
not show a band, you have the entity confirmed on the particular
band but you do not have the mode confirmed.

For example, your 5W1SA card would be a new one on 30 m but you
apparently have 5W on CW on another band.
