Re: Electronic QSL

I have also gotten many of these. Some are nice cards, other's very generic with a "typewriter" font that's hard to read. I should just dump them but I have been answering since old habits die hard. I also send to eQSL, LOTW and CLublog automatically when the QSO is terminated.
I made up a card with Paint Shop Pro (any paint/art program will work) with everything, address, grid square, county etc but the QSO info. When I get a card, I look in DXK for the particular entry and highlight it and copy to clipboard in the popup. This goes to wordpad which I copy and in Paint Shop Pro, add it to the card I made which now has the needed info added in text. Save it and send it off.
Odd that when I copy to clipboard, I do not get all the info...i.e. the signal report is missing although it is in the log entry and was highlighted and maybe copied. No big deal...I just add the sig report. Is there a limit to what can be copied to the clipboard in DXK?

Ah, I found the 'Permit uploading of QSOs already uploaded to LOTW'
checkbox. Also noticed that once you do an upload with this checked, it apparently automatically resets the checkbox after the upload is completed.

+ Yes, that's intentional. The "Permit uploading of QSOs already uploaded to LOTW" option is provided only for unusual circumstances - like yours!

Re: Error When I Run ReCompute in DXKeeper

Thanks for the responses.? I discovered that this was during the 100th Anniversary for ARRL and they were running portable to each state so that people could get a special WAS by working W1AW in all the states.? After I posted the message below I found was K7RL hosted the station in Washington state and discovered that he lives in Island County.? So, I replaced Okanogan with Island in the log and ran recompute again and it was happy.

Subject: [DXLab] Error When I Run ReCompute in DXKeeper

?

It appears I worked W1AW/7 in Washington state on 2/26/2014 @ 18:24Z.? I think the error I got refers to the county in Washington where the station was located.? The error is:

Broken: ARRL Section WA is inconsistent with DXCC Entity K and State WA and County WA,Okanogan

?

Is there any way to determine where the heck this station was located so I can correct this error??

Re: Error When I Run ReCompute in DXKeeper

WA is not a valid ARRL section; Washington state is divided into two ARRL sections (EWA and WWA). Okanogan county is in EWA, so changing the ARRL Section for that QSO from WA to EWA will fix the error.

There is no ARRL section WA, only sections EWA and WWA. DXKeeper knows what section each county is in. I've found that if you edit the Q and reselect the county (just bring up the drop-down, and select the county again), DXKeeper will insert the correct ARRL Section.

Re-uploading QSO rejected by LOTW to LOTW

Recently, I attempted to upload QSO's for the special N4L callsign (for the Georgia QSO Party). Since this is a special call sign, I have certificates only for the dates of the QSO Party, one for each year. Evidently, I never got around to uploading the Qs for last year, so the upload included Qs for 2024 and 2025. LOTW selected the certificate for 2024, and rejected the 2025 Qs because they were outside of the dates for the 2024 certificate.

I changed APP_DXKeeper_LotW_QSL_SENT to 'R' for the 2025 GQP Qs, and attempted to re-upload to LOTW. Of course, I got the message that there were were duplicate QSOs in the upload, and the upload was rejected. How do I get these rejected QSOs uploaded?

I just delete these now, but if you want to sign up to qslworld you are of

Me too, and I delete them. For many years, my QRZ page has said that I no longer respond to JA cards, because they have overwhelmed the Bureau trying to win JA awards for the sheer quantity of card, and that I respond to requests for paper cards ONLY for QSOs that are confirmed in LOTW. I do a lot of contesting, and if I worked a station five times (on different bands), I'd get five cards from them, all automatically generated, two years after the contest, all via the Bureau. For me, at least, they destroyed the Bureau system.

DXKeeper makes it very easy to upload to LOTW, eQSL, and Club Log, and I'm 100% for all three since getting back on the air in 2003.
