When I reach a thousand activator SOTA points for Mountain Goat, I may then switch my focus to both SOTA and POTA. Only 331 points to go.

Dave, Launcher is still showing 1814 as the installed version.?
+ That's because the WIndows Registry was updated the first time you tried to install DXKeeper 18.1.4.?
?
+ First, start DXKeeper 17.9.9 and on the Configuration window's General tab, check the "Log debugging info" box. Then terminate DXKeeper 17.9.9

+ Then direct the Launcher to restore DXKeeper 18.1.4, and when that's complete start DXKeeper 18.1.4. If DXKeeper 18.1.4's main window doesn't appear on screen, hopefully there will be an errorlog.txt file in your DXKeeper folder. Attach this file to an email message, and send that message to me via

In your DXKeeper folder, is there a file named DXKeeper1799.exe ?

If so, then please do the following in your DXKeeper folder:

1. delete the existing DXKeeper.exe file

2. make a copy of the DXKeeper1799.exe file and rename the copy to DXKeeper.exe

3. double-click the entry for DXKeeper.exe

Does DXKeeper 17.9.9 appear on screen?

Also, the only Error Logs for either program have information from 2019 in them.

Re: [ARRL-LoTW] Apparent corrupted download of new DXKeeper & DXSpotcollector files

Joe, thanks for your prompt reply.? I have done a "restore" on each program several times and attempted to start the programs after each time thru the Launcher.? It continues to tell me that the program times out after 180 seconds without loading.? The latest ver of Keeper I have before the upgrade today is 1799 and it will run and show up in Launcher is running before I run 1799, but if I terminate and rerun Launcher it goes back to 1814 and will not load.? Same goes for SC. The latest ver I have there is 983.?

However, start Launcher (not Commander) -> Select Config
then click "Restore" beside DXKeeper.? When that completes

Can you now start DXKeeper and SpotCollector by clicking
their respective buttons on Launcher's main window?

Re: DXKeeper / Log QSOs / Details QSO (partner) issue

+ AA6YQ comments below

Dist (km) in DXKeeper / Log QSOs / Details QSO (partner) since a few days is making an audio alarm the moment I open the Details panel.
It has nothing to with the new DXKeeper update.

I have zero interest in knowing the distance between both parties in a QSO.
Checked DXKeeper config parameters and Help pages, found nothing there.
The format is (xx.xxx,xx) e.g. 12.470,00 Using English (United Kingdom) Belgian comma since years.

The audio alarm stays on even if one leaves the Details panel. Can only get rid of this nuisance by deleting the value in Dist (km) entirely.
Can anyone help on this one please?

+ While we're working on this, you can uncheck the "Provide audible feedback" box in the Options panel at the top of the Configuration window's General tab.

+ In the "Distance Unit" panel near the bottom of that tab, have you selected "Miles" or "Kilometers"?
