Re: Responding to Emailed QSLs
Majority of electronic qsl's I receive are not via QSL World (or using the N1ET tool) but from QSL Creator and those people which use the tool of PA4R. It looks as if they all use the email-information given in qrz.com (for sender and receiver of the card). If you take out your email information in qrz.com it should be very likely that you will not receive any electronic qsl. This should work in addition to clicking on the unsubscribe links.
?
If eQSL would offer this service for a certain additional fee in addition to the existing eQSL service it should be possible to use those electronic qsl's also for the awards which accept eQSL (as the qso information is already available in eQSL, no need to present electronic qsl's). I don't download the images normally, only for some specific qso's confirmed via eQSL, therefore I am missing somehow the effort of the qsl designers, but that is the reality, at least for me. I am only using eQSL to be able to respond to SWLs which would need paper cards if eQSL would not exisit. The confirmation of other qso's is just a courtesy and easy to do via DXKeeper. This is very similar to the upload of qso's to qrz.com.

I am trying to use my transceiver frequency that is captured by DxCommander with the Frequency Dependent Device to generate a Ascii string to output to a serial port.? I can get all the way to string generation, but cannot figure out how to direct it to a different serial port than the transceiver+ Sending Frequency-dependent device data to a serial port is not supported.? + What make and model antenna switch are you seeking to control? ? ? ? 73, ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

I have 2453 confirmed dxcc challenge qso's and 2590 worked. A delta of 137.+ Use DXKeeper's Need filter, as described here: ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |

What report can I run to identify the 137 qso's so I can attempt to get them confirmed. There may be more than 137 qso's as I probably have qso's with multiple stations for the same dxcc/band. This would be a good thing as it would give me multiple chances to confirm the dxcc/band. I used to have a saved email with instructions on how to do this. I must of inadvertently deleted the email. I believe it was done with an SQL expression in the advanced icon to filter the log which I could then print with the Report icon. Thanks in advance. Rich -N5ZC |

I just tried other background colors, and the web server background stays black. + So that I can see what's going, please use Chrome to view the web page generated by SpotCollector's web server. Then in Chrome 1. type CTRL-U This will create a new tab that displays the web page in raw HTML format 2. click in the new tab created by step 1, and the type CTRL-A followed by CTRL-C This will copy the contents of the web page into the Windows Clipboard 3. Open Windows Notepad, and type CTRL-V This will paste the contents of the Windows Clipboard into Notepad 4. Save the contents of Notepad to a file, attach the file to an email message, and send the message to me via aa6yq (at) ambersoft.com 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

I see the spots both on my computer and phone, but the font is in red on a black background when I select the Need button. When clicking on the X, I'm assuming the font is in black but the background is still black, so I see only a black display in the window. + SpotCollector's built-in web server uses the Font and Background colors specified on the left side of the "Spot Database Display" tab of its Configuration window. + The world is constantly changing; applications must change with it. Making it easy to respond to email QSLs will add no new options, but will add one new entry to the Log Page Display's right-mouse menu. ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? Dave, AA6YQ |
Re: Electronic QSL
It's the age old story....if it's there as an option....that means "option" and the very definition of the word should explain what the user can do. I personally don't need any cards...I have boxes of them and already have those I need for confirmation of this and that as far as any awards I'm still interested in. I'd use it, and since the electronic method of QSLing is not going to disappear, feel others would as well.? If not, I will continue the method I'm presently using but evolving and adapting is a way of life which does not stop in the sphere of amateur radio.
Have at it Dave and anyone might agree that this suite needs very little in the way of additional options, but options are hardly a bad thing and use of those options is the operator's choice entirely.
