Name, please? . . .

See Mike's comments but if you can otherwise split the band/frequency,
then using a PL tone where you don't need it should not be a problem.

Now, if you needed a DIFFERENT PL tone for each frequency, that would
not be possible.

I don't know if this BF HT has a dual-watch feature, but if it does,
there might be a way to let it receive on the 2nd VFO and transmit on
the first, which might get you what you want.

I will defer to Mike on this, though, since I don't have one of these.
I have a UV-5R and don't use it much, and it has so many options and
features I don't even know about I can't consider myself an expert on
it, either.

[We don't have a name/callsign requirement in this group but in most
groups it's expected, and in some, like one of the Heathkit groups,
it's actually required. It helps make a group more friendly when we
know each others' first names and/or callsign. Thanks!!!]
