Re: 23 cm coverage

I was getting ready to ask something similar.? So far I haven't found any but would love a 23cm HT, especially at Baofeng prices.? I believe Wouxun makes a 4m HT for the UK and EU markets.? Haven't seen one of those in the Baofengs yet.? Do they even make an HT which covers 6m?? Wouxun does.

Which Baofeng HTs cover the 23 cm band (1300 MHz), if any do?

Of those, do any also cover 2M and/or 440 MHz?

Re: Best triband Baofeng

Thanks, will have to check into it.? There are so many different Baofengs coming out you can't keep up with all of them.

Hi, John,

It's an M-5R, shows the number on the bottom front and in the well under
the battery pack. But now that I check my past orders, it shows
currently unavailable where I bought it.

I have two that cover the 1.25 meter band. One I have had for just a
few months and it seems to work well. I used it for a QSO through a
1.25 meter repeater yesterday and got a good signal report. I don't
have any measurements to report, just that I am satisfied with the
performance. It's a Baofeng M-5R. My older unit is an UV-S9T and it

I like the M-5R because it receives the AM aircraft band in addition to
three amateur bands, FM radio, and weather radio, all for the price of a
couple of hamburgers.

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Thats nice to know, nice one, I'll keep that info for the next time i get a radio that needs to be set back to the baofeng standard, I only removed the GD77 from the one i had because i also use other frequencies that are not ham ones and I use the encryption, GD77 has had this feature removed as there is no need for it on the ham channels, I now have a couple of Retevis HD2's and a few other handhelds that are not baofeng. :)?

Re: Baofeng DM-1701 display colour

Hi Noddy, Update: Flashing with the Stock firmware V2.06 will fix the inverted colours and give you back the stock Blue Colours.
?
I found V2.06 firmware here:

I found this with a basic Google search using their AI response at the top of
the search page. Let us know if it works, please?

Note that it may leave you in the Chinese language mode, so figure out the menus
ahead of time for changing language before trying the procedure below.

Donald KX8K
===================================================

To factory reset a Baofeng BF-T9, you'll need to turn the radio on and press the
MENU button, then navigate to the RESET menu item. Select "ALL" and confirm to
erase all settings and return the radio to its default state, which may also
revert to Chinese language mode.
Detailed Steps:
Power On and Access Menu: Turn on the Baofeng BF-T9 radio and press the MENU
button.
Locate RESET: Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to navigate the menu until you
reach the RESET menu item (usually number 40).
Select RESET: Press the MENU button to select the RESET option.
Choose ALL: Use the DOWN arrow key to choose the "ALL" option, which will reset
all settings.
Confirm Reset: Press the MENU button again to confirm the reset process. The
radio may display "SOURCE?".
Final Confirmation: Press the MENU button to confirm the reset. The radio will
display "WAIT..." and beep twice after the reset is complete.
Radio Reverts to Default: The radio will revert to its factory default settings,
which may include the Chinese language mode, according to Buy Two Way Radios.
