Just want to be sure of this as it would make a difference if you didn't do
this.

Before copying from another CHIRP file into the one for your current radio, did
you first download the database contents FROM the current radio to establish all
the data fields?

Downloading FROM the radio first sets up all the cells for the radio. If you
merely copied a file from another radio and uploaded it to your radio, and it
wasn't exactly the same radio, if there was one more cell for data or one less
on a data row, you would not be successful.

Also, is the cable working for you as far as you can tell? From what I read, it
looks like you were able to download the data from the radio.

The only other thing might be that you don't have the volume all the way up so
the data transfer can be made without any missing information.

Just trying to rule this out before suggesting that you get in contact with Dan
at CHIRP.

As a last resort, RT Systems software should work. It's not free, of course, but
it just works. I don't know what they do different, but I think they start with
CHIRP and enhance it, add model coverage to what's already available, and
possibly more.
