I am a full UK licence holder? (? Call sign?? M0NOY ) and am following up the following posting in the Baofeng ??? Unfortunately I seem to have selected the wrong person for my inquiry so I will start again....
I just received my BL-1 Bluetooth programmer and so far it works great!
I¡¯m going to play with it for the next month and put it through its paces, but I LIKE what I¡¯ve seen so far.
? For those who don¡¯t know, this devices allows you to program a handheld
radio (only 17 types so far, but the UV-5R is one of them) without a
computer or cable! It works via Bluetooth. ****
So you can use Android, iPhone, iPad¡ but NO computer or cables.
I was actually able to read my BF-3R tri-band (a UV-5R with the firmware
that allows you to expand the VHF range to allow operation in the 1.25
meter band!
Will let you all know how it works out!

Which device in particular are you asking about? You are asking a
question but are not very specific in your details.

If you're a licensed ham, please add your call sign at the end of your
messages. You are not required to be a licensed ham (we can't control
that) but it's a courtesy in our ham related groups to add that if you
are a ham operator.
