New Your Public Library

 

I'm in Johannesburg, enroute to Botswana, where I hope to use my Seestar to photograph very dark Southern Hemisphere skies. Yesterday I was in Manhattan, where I saw some spectacular astronomy-related manuscripts and books. Well worth your time if you're in NYC. Somehow I didn't get a photo of the spectacular earky-medieval copy of Ptolomy, including a map with his use of what we call latitude lines.
