HOLIDAY ART MARKET - THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 17TH - 11am - 4pm
Holiday Greetings! This coming Sunday I'm participating again in the HOLIDAY ART MARKET at a private residence on the Arlington in El Cerrito (just near Moeser Lane) ~ Featuring 23 local artists coming together in one beautiful space to share a fabulous selection of beautifully hand crafted goods including: silkscreen, ceramic, paintings, pillows, handmade books, wood cutting boards, cards, books, clothing ... Come on by! It's always a festive & super lovely time ? I'll be bringing my annual lunar calendar tea towels, silkscreened totes, notebooks, and a selection of jewelry pieces ~ (NOTE: I will also be hosting a small private sale - a tiny collection of extra special pieces - sometime in mid December, details to follow...) OXs *Deb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, OCTOBER 12TH was my big-round-number birthday! ??? To celebrate I did two things: had total hip replacement surgery (more HERE) + posted a birthday fundraiser for Penland School of Craft Penland gave me a 2-week scholarship this summer where I learned letterpress, pressure printing, & typesetting ~ creating a new printed series of "Love Letters to the Central Nervous System" Penland is a truly magical place & it was two of the best weeks of my entire life ? Sadly, Penland & the surrounding Asheville, NC area were tragically impacted by Hurricane Helene, & I'm donating 100% of the proceeds from pieces I made while there in support of Penland's artists please consider joining me if you're able, & Many thanks to everyone who has already purchased these special pieces! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Last, but anything but least... An absolute high point in my career ~ a true honor for her to wear my piece Seeing the necklace made especially for this fantastic being - adrienne marie brown - as she wore on the cover of THEM magazine (Oct 4, 2024) auspiciously & coincidentally worn during this year's Days of AWE ?
