Museum Hours: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 1¨C4 pm, until October 27. Extended hours on October 27 from 4 to 6 to fete the closing with wine and cheese and a video of BHS ¡°photo gems¡± in the lobby.
Other highlights of the ¡°Collection Gems¡± exhibit: The first founders of the Berkeley Historical Society; colorful and quaint mementos of erstwhile Berkeley businesses; a giant collage of Berkeley family life from its rural beginnings; Berkeley's bygone schools and their integration 50 years ago; photos of performances in ¡°the Athens of the West¡±; and a walk through Berkeley's politics.
Also on view is our brand-new?ten-panel timeline that illustrates Berkeley's history from its first settlements to the?present day ¡ª richly illustrated and easy to read!
