Update: Measure O Special Session (5 minutes)
Jennifer Lovvorn, Kim Anno, and Bruce Coughran will report back from the recent City Council special session around affordable housing and Measure O funds.
Guest speaker: Moy Eng of CAST, the Community Arts Stabilization Trust (20 minutes)
Moy Eng is the Executive Director of CAST. Read her bio?. She will share about the work going on with CAST in San Francisco and the East Bay around affordable artist housing.?
Update: the Cannabis Commission and potential Cannabis Tax (10 minutes)
Berkeley Civic Arts Commission Chair Kim Anno will provide an update.
Update: Civic Arts Grant funding for FY 19/20 (30 minutes)
The BCT Steering Committee will provide an update from a recent meeting with City Manager Dee Ridley.
As a group, we will discuss our actions and advocacy in the coming months with City Council members. We need the group¡¯s time and support to keep advocating for the civic arts funding in the city¡¯s budget.?
